I stayed in this hotel for a convention that was held in the same place.

My stay was very pleasant and good. The rooms where clean, comfortable and beautiful. Spacious (two bed room) with extra office so you work in.

Personnel was friendly and helpful.

Only bad thing was a problem in the electronic keys at our arrival, not opening the doors of the rooms, problem that appeared again during our stay. Thankfully due to the personnels help the problem was solved quickly.

The convention facilities were very good

We had a two days meeting with 160 people from all over Europe. The staff was excellent and always responded positively and very quickly to all our demands, even the last minute ones.
The main meeting room was very nice and well-equipped. The technical staff was also very competent and also very flexible.
Rooms and food were very good value for money. Location is maybe a bit out of the center but taxis are very cheap (5 € to the city center) so I would certainly recommend this hotel be it only for the high quality and kindness of the whole staff including the general manager.

Stayed for 2 nights for a conference which was also held at the hotel. First, regarding the location, it's at the edge of the city, far from anything worth seeing or visiting. There is not even a place to eat in walking distance from the hotel and the area is generally ugly. Taxi to the centre is 7 euros each way. Other than that, the hotel is an imposing structure with an imposing classical lobby and rooms designed accordingly. However, I dont think it's a 5-star hotel for the following reasons: a) breakfast is more like a 3-star rather than 5-star, no fresh fruit at all for example! b) cleanliness really needs some improvement, there were hairs on the blanket on the bed, the carpets had dust, and the room smelled a bit like mould when I first entered, had to keep the window open for a while c) views from the windows are horrible from every floor d) they charge 2 euros for each cup of tea or coffee you make in the room!!!!! e) the toiletries in the bathroom are definitely not 5-star in quantity or quality! However, on the positive side, the staff is great and very helpful and the towels were very clean and fluffy. Also, they employed guards to do night shifts while we were there on the floors and corridors where teenagers were staying and partying late to keep them from bothering us. I would still recommend a central and cheaper hotel though.

Yes. It is like one should imagine of a Grand Hotel style. Architecture and design are in esthetics of another century, which might dissapoint friends of modern and minimal style. The Hotel is located to the west side of the city, very close to the central bus station. The neighborhood is not very nice, however it is not far away from the center, and provides very easy access to the national highway. Service is excellent, restaurant is very good and wifi free of charge. The price is very reasonable for the class of this hotel.

I was at the Grand Hotel Palace on business and this hotel has ticked all the boxes in style. The room and lounge furniture is a classical master piece, the staff is very helpful and nice. Breakfast buffet is also very good. TV channels are plentiful with so many languages. The view from the 5th floor is stunning overlooking the little entrance square and the main street. Free internet in the lobby and breakfast area. The service was great and the traditional decor was so comfortable. Will definitely come back!
