“Extraordinary breakfast. Other than that...”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 April 2014 via mobile

It is nice to have this simply excellent breakfast by the pool. The hotel is spotlessly clean and most of the staff is very polite and helpful. Other than that...
I was "welcomed" by a receptionist who practically made me feel as if my very early arrival was some kind of a sin! He was almost hostile, really, so it was not until I entered my nice but noisy and view-less room that I stopped feeling un- welcome. I later went to "relax" by the pool, only to find myself with British English speaking (or should I say screaming their hearts out) teen girls diving and splashing water on everyone. My polite complaints to the staff, reminding them that if that was a kindergarten they ought to have warned guests who were supposed to pay for a 5* hotel, resulted to the girls' return to their rooms -after their mothers told them apparently to get out of the water (in fluent Turkish...). Noise later became an issue once again when there was a christening party until late at night (?) of which no staff member cared to inform us.
Distance from the city center makes this place non recommendable for tourists, being more fit for business travelers who usually move around in cars. This hotel is built in a quiet neighborhood -a fact that only maximizes annoying sounds in my opinion. I appreciate the good efforts by most of the staff, but I don't recommend this place to anyone.

It is really hard to complaint about something for this hotel, especially if you take into account the room price.
Rooms are spacious, with all amenities of a 5 star hotel just a little worn out in details. Breakfast is excellent and staff is helpful. Valet parking is included in the price.
If you do not mind not to have views and that the hotel is out of the city centre it is a great choice.

I stayed in Domotel Les Lazaristes mid December 2013 for 4 nights . A very well designed smallish hotel with good food and helpful staff in a quiet neighbourhood. My purpose for the visit was a Conference located at the hotel, so my choice was excellent. To visit down town Thessaloniki one must take a taxi which is sometimes a long ride depending on the traffic. Breakfast was superb and dinner excellent but on the pricey side. Conveniently there is a supermarket right next to the hotel. A beautiful hotel but not if you want to walk in and ou,t for down town dining or shopping.

I was in Greece again in January 2014 and I should say my visit to Thessaloniki was very successful and memorable mostly because I stayed at Les Lazaristes for three nights. From the first minutes there I was charmed with the cleanness, beauty and cosiness of the place and professionalism of the personal. My special thanks to Cosmas, who was so kind and helpful.
Breakfast is excellent with great choice of food to any liking..And the variety of bread they have!
The place is new and well kept, I like the modern style of the furniture and the heating system was just perfect for me, my room was very clean and spacious.
You will have no problem finding a food shop, it is next door, the street is very quiet which I liked. Yes, you will hardly walk to the downtown (but you can:) but the bus stop is round the corner and the fare is 0.90Euro, so in 10 minutes you are in the main square. I will stay there again when I am in Thessaloniki. Thank you!

We just came back from a 3 day trip to Thessaloniki where we stayed at Les Lazaristes. The hotel is nice and modern, the rooms are fine and are nicely furnished. We were a bit disappointed that our room had a stale odor of a tobacco smoke and it wasn't pleasant. What really disappointed us was the fact that we spent the New Year’s Eve at the hotel and the staff allowed smoking in the banquet hall...obviously smoking is back with a vengeance everywhere indoors in Greece and that makes it a no go for us. The other drawback is that they fed us with the same food for 3 days, which was also a negative. Unfortunately we won't stay again in the hotel or recommend it.

Room Tip: Not suitable for families with kids

Not very centrally placed. Opposite the Lazaristes Monastery and the State Museum of Contemporary Art. Beautiful interior with a garden swimming pool-restaurant (Fred and Ginger) with relaxing atmosphere and average food.

Cosmopolitan, luxurious and at the same time minimal and with a sense of tranquility.
