“Home from home!”
Reviewed 27 August 2014

We stayed for 16 nights here in a comfort room but upgraded for the last 2 nights for a sea front Executive Suite. The comfort room has everything you need without the view but it was well-worth it to upgrade for the view...amazing! Location is absolutely perfect. Could walk everywhere as they are in the centre of everything. Staff couldn't have been more helpful, especially George, Dimitri and Maria! We received excellent service and looked forward to going back their every evening. We would loved to have stayed even longer!!

Room Tip: Depends on your budget. A sea view is a must, if only for a couple of days!

For a three night city break in Thessaloniki my friend and I wanted a hotel that is close to the city center. After some searching we decided that Daios would suit our preferences. Right at the city center, at seafront, a five star hotel seemed the perfect choice. We booked a room with Atrium view using Booking.com. Unfortunately, not long after we made the reservation, we were informed by the hotel that our credit card was not accepted by their system and that the room could be kept until six o' clock the next day. We kindly asked if they could keep the room until eight as our flight would arrive at seven. But the answer was negative. As we didn't want to start searching again for a room, we decided, even it was our last working day and a lot had to be done, to make the deposit to the bank. When we finally arrived at the hotel we were dissapointed. The view to the Atrium was in fact the view of the empty space among the nearby apartment blocks (ie we enjoyed looking at the neighborhood's laundry lines) Definately, not the view for a five star room that cost us 95 euros per night without breakfast. I am afraid that we won't choose again this hotel.

We spent just one night in this hotel but we had a very good impression since the very first moment when we arrived: friendly staff, very comfortable room, very clean, quite and with excellent breakfast. They really made our stay perfect and we're going to recommend this structure to our friends for sure !!

Daios fell totally short in expectations. The place is pretty but needs loving care with furnishings in the room. It doesn’t have amenities, lacks a pool and a spa. If you need a service like a facial or a massage, it would be provided in your room. The mini bar is free but really poor. The breakfast however is very good. The staff is attentive although I thought they could give better information. I asked for an iron in our room but they said they don’t keep irons in the room for safety. However, they offered an ironing service through housekeeping, but fail to tell you upfront that there is a fee of 10 Euros per item. I found this very misleading and not consistent of the Greek culture.
The room was spacious with a nice balcony. The hair drier was horrible but their bathroom products were good. I have to say that apart from the location, this hotel doesn’t have much to offer.

The hotel is one of the best in the city. Very clean.
The staff is really helpful.
Price per night could be lower for what if offers and breakfast should be included in price.
There isn't a fitness area available.

Room Tip: Room with a view of the sea

Me and my wife have stayed at Daios Luxury Living in mid-May 2014 for two nights. Although it was a short stay, we came home with very sweet memories. We have mainly picked this Hotel because of its location. It was our first time in Thessaloniki and since we would be there only for the weekend, we wanted to stay in the very center of the city. Located at the middle section of Nikis Avenue, the Hotel is just minutes away from many attractions on foot. After a short ride, we observed that it is very hard to find an empty parking space in the centrum. So it is a big advantage that the Hotel has its own parking lot in its basement and valet parking service. A reasonable fee is charged per day. The Hotel is very elegantly furnished and you can have the feeling of "luxury" inside, but it is not too showy. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The suit room was simply great. Free Wi-Fi signal is adequate throughout the Hotel, as well as even in the Mexican restaurant across the street :) Buffet breakfast is delightful. We couldn't have the chance to try the Hotel's restaurant at the Nikis Avenue, we will do it in our next visit.

Room 204 was superb. Views of the gulf, the harbor and the city were magnificent. The hotel staff was ready to please at all times. When I visit Thessaloniki again, I will not look elsewhere. I will probably try a higher floor, even though this one provided a great view all around as well as a good vantage point of city life below.
