I lived so many years on the island and only learned of its existence when my friends from Athens came to visit, which is a shame. Please do visit it and be careful with directions as it is very far from Mytilene and the road is full of turns. But once you get there, the scenery as well as its history will hopefully take your breath away. There's a lot to see and take in, have fun!

Beautiful place! But the direction is bad!
The directions here are to a place that is out side of Lesvos!
The place is in zikri! On Lesvos island.

That was a surprise: we didn't expect such a museum, it was beyond our expectations. It is dedicated in geology, in particular the developments in the area of the Aegean sea over the centuries. Many interesting exhibits and unique findings. Con: the air-conditioning was off that day. Estimate about 45 min for it plus another 15-20 for the exterior

This is a little drive out of town but worth a visit. There was a whole section up stairs which was all in Greek which was a shame as most of the other exhibits had English versions too. the area which is located is lovely, with a nice park across the road and nice places to eat. worth a visit.
