Owner description: An unforgettable excursion to the family winery Olympia Land Estate which is into the green valley of Olympia and just 5 minutes from the archaeological site. The particular terroir of the region, the excellent microclimate, the clayey and sandy soil help our vines to grow healthy and very aromatic grapes in order to produce high quality wines. In the Olympia Land Estate you have the opportunity to be part in a tour which start with a walk on the vineyards where you learn about the cultivation of the vines, continue in the production area and finally in the cellar with the oak barrels. After the tour you will enjoy samples of our wines, our homemade olive oil and also other traditional snacks in the air-conditioned reception area. We are on your disposal to help you to organize quickly and easily your excursion which will be for you a memorable experience.

My family of 4 adults were very lucky to have been taken to Olympia Land Winery for a tour on Sept. 16. We had hired a private tour guide for the day while visiting Olympia on our cruise. Upon arrival at the winery, we were greeted by Amanda. She showed us around this beautiful property and explained the different grapes used for various wines. At this time most of the grapes had been harvested and they were in the process of being crushed for juice. She shared with us the wine making process as we toured the facility, all very interesting! We were then treated to a delicious snack of salami, olives, cheeses, tomatoes, and of course, wine...delicious wine! This is must do tour while visiting Olympia! Now that we are back home in the US, we are happy to have several bottles of Olympia Land Wine here with us to share with our friends!

We are another very happy family who were delighted to visit the Olympia Land Winery near Olympia in Greece. As passengers on board the MSC Fantasia cruise ship, we had arranged a day tour with Andreas Stamos in Katakolon and Olympia. We arrived in Katakolon on Tuesday 1st October 2013.
Following a tour of the ancient site of Olympia, we were taken by Andreas to the winery where the daughter of the owners, Amanda showed us around. She was very knowledgeable and clearly very proud of her family's business.
Her English was very very good and she had a great sense of humour. She spent at least an hour with us showing us the various grapes, their land and explaining the process involved in making the different wines and also the lovely olive oil and biscuits their family make.
At the end of the tour, we returned to the main room of the house and a beautiful table of delicacies and wine had been laid out for us to include bread with olive oil, tomatoes, olives, cheese and wine. We also had a shot at the end.
It was a truly wonderful experience and we purchased some red wine and olive oil and biscuits at the end of the tour.
We would like to send our best wishes to Amanda and her family and thank them for a very memorable time spent at the winery - a day we will never forget!

As has been mentioned in other reviews, the visit to this winery was an absolute pleasure! We had booked a private tour of Olympia during our cruise, and our guide had arranged a tour of Olympia Land Winery as part of our day. It was a wonderful experience! It felt more like Amanda and her mother had invited us over for lunch rather than a wine tour. Such a nice break from the crowds. It was so peaceful. The property is beautiful, Amanda was a pleasant delight showing us around her family's property, and the wine tasting, with bread, tomatoes and olive oil, all fresh from the farm, was just delicious. The red wine was excellent-we only hope that there will be the ability to purchase their wines in Canada one of these days!
Thanks Amanda!

After many ports and tours on our cruise it was refreshing to do something a bit different and the visit to this winery was just what we needed. We were four adults who have, in other countries, toured wineries so we were more interested in the wine tasting. The owner and his wife greeted us, made us comfortable and for 5E a person we tasted a white and red wine and snacked on salami, cheese, tomatoes, olives and bread. It was a delightful time and we appreciated their warm hospitality. Of course we couldn't leave without buying some wine as well as some olives, cookies and jam - all made at the winery.
