The hotel was a pleasant American-style hotel that catered to tours, with large comfortable rooms and a very nice pool. But the really remarkable thing was the restaurant -- a garden setting, overlooking the valley, run by the family who owns the hotel. It was the best meal we had in two weeks in Greece -- delicious, moderately priced, locally-produced food, much of it fresh from their own garden, offered with creativity and pride.
