How I rate hotels. Star ratings for hotels are based upon facilities and services. It is easy to find the star rating for any hotel. I rate hotel based upon the experience. For example, a 2 star hotel may provide a 4 circle experience.

This was a nice hotel with a relaxed atmosphere. The highlight was watching sundown from the pool area. I stayed here as part of a Cosmos tour. This hotel was close to a 5 circle experience, The only things that prevented a higher score was the food could be improved and the A/C in the room didn't cool the room enough.

However, I do recommend this hotel.

We had a wonderful stay at the Olympion Asty. We stayed in a Family Room that had two floors that were spacious, with lovely sunset views over the garden and hills beyond. The pool was fabulous, with good views. Our children loved the kids gift packs - a real surprise for them. Great breakfast and outstanding and thoughtful service from everyone at the hotel. Our expectations are high and they were exceeded. One of the best family orientated hotels we have stayed in.

Room Tip: Make sure you see the sunset...

We stayed only one night here when we travelled with a tour group.
We would have stayed here longer if we travelled by ourselves as the hotel is very nice and in a lovely location on top of a hill.
Our room was clean, spacious, in a single storey block, with the back door opening onto garden and distant valley, giving us the impression that we were in a resort.
The dining room is in the main building in the middle of the complex and opens onto a large swimming pool.
The staff are very friendly and helpful.
Free wifi is available in the rooms.
The hotel is not in the centre of the town though. Although it is within walking distance of the town the climb up the hill to where it is located is very stiff. Therefore you may have to use taxis to take you back up to the hotel whenever you are in town or after you have visisted the Olympia Archaelogical site and Museum. These sites are also down the hill, nearer (by road) to the town centre than to the hotel.
Therefore if you wish to stay in this hotel then it is more convenient if you travel to Olympia with your own car.

Olympia is a terrific place to visit, and the Olympian Asty made it extra-special. We arrived in the most blinding rainstorm, and we did in fact have a little difficulty finding it. We were met the moment we pulled in by the manager holding two large umbrellas to help us out of the car and to get our things into the hotel with a minimum of wetness. The room was large and comfortable, the view fabulous. Fortunately the rain abated and we were able to go out for dinner, but the next night we decided to eat in the hotel, after a swim in the very-chilly-end-of- October swimming pool. The meal was wonderful, the service very good. Breakfast buffet was good. Everyone friendly and helpful. We spent two nights and would gladly stay again.

We choose the hotel because of the enthousiastic stories of other visitors, and we fully agree b them. The location is beautifull, especially the view from the great swimming pool and the restaurant.
We rented a family room and it felt like an appartment. We had some problems with the shower, but that was immediately fixed. We very much enjoyed tHe dinner in the restaurant

The only disappointment was that our travel agent booked us only one night at the Olympion Asty. I could have stayed indefinitely. All other hotels on our trip through the Pelopponesos pale in comparison. Olympion Asty, a short drive to Olympia and museum/archaeological sites, is perched on a hill overlooking the region. The hotel was immaculate; staff were wonderful; our room was huge and well--appointed, and parking plentiful. The in-house restaurant was excellent -- their "Mixed Grille for Two" easily would feed four hungry adults; and the dining room's poolside setting is relaxing. The pool itself is gorgeous, pristine, and big; and poolside service prompt and cheerful. The staff seem happy to be employed there and did everything possible to make us feel welcome.
