It is a renovated hotel in a magnificent location at the tip of small peninsula between two small sandy beaches. It has a spectacular view of the town of Poros island overviewing the entire golf that looks like a lake.
The staff was very friendly and helpful, the food very good, the room spacious and the prices quite reasonable. We will go again as soon as we find free time.

Room Tip: Select a room overviewing the see towards the town of Poros

Its basically an old hotel built in the sixties that had a soft renovation but still looks dated. It has seasonal untrained and useless staff. Best staff member we met was not even Greek but Scottish. Service was bad and totally indifferent to requests. Breakfast very basic. WIFI was a joke. We had to drive to the harbor area to get WIFI because it simply did not work at hotel. The most serious concern we had was the lack of any life safety throughout the hotel. No smoke alarms, no sprinklers, no PA system. Door were not fire rated and were so cheap and thin they could easily be kicked in. Safe in room did not work plus was not even secured to wall. We could have simple taken it with us. Pool was not open and filthy. Just to finish, it was bad bad bad. I would never stay there again. Hotel defense can be it was start of season but then why charge 85 Euros per day???

Room Tip: get ocean view and preferably town view.

Dear Mr Gregory,

Thank you for taking the time to write a review of our hotel. As you correctly mention, our hotel was designed towards the end of the 60’s by a very famous Greek architect called Aris Konstantinidis, whose name has become synonymous with the ‘Xenia’ hotels. As such, it is a historical building both locally and all over Greece. The majority of our staff are employees who have worked for us for many years, and as you can read from reviews not only on TripAdvisor but also on other review sites, they are highly regarded for their integrity and politeness. One occasion which I remember is when you shouted at a member of the reception staff because you found your car dirty in the car park, even although we tried to explain to you that this had happened due to small ‘freak’ rainfall, which had left all the cars in the area with a covering of dust.
The hotel offers free wifi in the public areas but not yet in the rooms, although we expect to be able to offer this service in the rooms very shortly. This is stated clearly on the site through which you made your reservation. I also remember that we had to call an internet technician to correct our system, as you had managed to get access to our system and had changed the name and code of our wifi system without the permission of the hotel or even thinking of the consequences to our other guests.
As for the doors and fire security system of the hotel, I can assure you that we are totally within the legal parameters of the Greek fire security laws, and on top of that the fire security system is checked every year before the season opening.
Our swimming pool was in fact closed during the period of your stay, due to the bad weather conditions at that time. I would like to close by stating that the room you reserved is one of the biggest sized hotel rooms available in Poros, with an incredible view of Poros town, and including an American style buffet breakfast, all for the very reasonable price of 84 euros per night, together with all the other services, which you forgot to mention!

I stayed at this hotel between the 24 and 27 of april 2014. UNFORTUNATELLY THE BEACH AND POOL WERE CLOSED so ALWAYS ASK BEFORE YOUR VISIT!. Everything else was good. The service excellent, the breakfast was good and the view maybe the best on the island. I recommend it but ask if everything that is mentioned is provided.......

Thank you for your kind comments about our hotel. For your information, the pool was closed during your stay due to unfavourable weather conditions, and will be open from 10th May through till the end of the season, as will our beach bar. We hope to accommodate you and your family again at our hotel at some time in the future.

My husband and I stayed here for 11 nights in September. Following our shuttle transfer from the port to the welcome drink on our arrival, we found the staff to be friendly and courteous. The view from our room was amazing, looking over to Poros town and Galatas across the way; watching the boats coming and going on our balcony was so relaxing. Room was clean and fairly modern, although slightly devoid of character/ finishing touches. Breakfast at the hotel was more than adequate, and replenished during breakfast time as needed. For those who don't have a sea view room, the view from the breakfast balcony/terrace is what we had; it is to die for! We definitely agreed that the Image was in the best location, not only for the views, but if you turn left out of the hotel, Neiron beach is a short walk along the road. We also walked further on past Neiron to the beaches of Love Bay and Russian Bay, both of which we would recommend. If you turn right out of the hotel the road will take you past Micro Neiron beach, then past a few taverna restaurants. Further on (approximately 20 minutes walk) you will find yourself in Poros Town. We also walked to Askeli beach a couple of times which we enjoyed. We are quite an active couple and enjoy walking, but taxis are plentiful and cost 3-4 Euros to each of these places. We didn't eat any main meals at the hotel, as we like to venture out, and we enjoyed everywhere we ate on Poros. We did not make use of the pool or spa. The private beach is idyllic, and the walkways and gardens leading to it are beautiful. We spent a few days there but found the choice of menu at the beach bar to be limited so we only ate there once (the young staff who run it are very friendly though). We went to Neiron Beach to eat for lunch quite often. Wifi is free but limited to a small area in or near the computer room/reception and terrace; however most bars and tavernas that you visit have good connection so we did not see this as a problem. Overall I would recommend the Poros Image to all, and would definitely consider coming back.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view

Great greek architect Konstantinidis designed this hotel.
The location of the hotel is perfect, amazing view from the terrace both to poros town and to Galatas.
Staff was helpfull, very polite and cheerful, the breakfast was very good.
The surrounding garden and the path leading to the private beach was lovely.
Both the public areas of the hotel (corridors, lobby, terrace etc.) and the rooms was very clean - like very much the tiles instead of wall to wall carpets many hotels have.
There is also a bus that passes by the hotel every one hour going straight into the town centre which is very handy!

we stayed in an excecutive sea view room at the 2nd floor with spectaculat view to Galatas. i didn't like two things: first the very very small shower in the bathroom- we are thin and we were carefull not to touch on the wall while we had a bath and second it was a small building across our room in the courtyard with air conditioning units or something like that and when they was on it was very noisy.

Few words about the island.
Poros is a small island close to Athens with many things to do and see as the posidon temple, the Historic Clock at the top of the hill over the harbour, beautifull neoclassical houses- among the most beautiful houses of Poros the stunning Villa Galini has hosted great personalities of the Arts, Literature and politics as politician Eleftherios Venizelos, american writer Henry Miller, the poet Seferis etc.
Beautifull beaches as Askeli, Love bay, Vagionia and my favorite Russian bay.
Nice food, don't forget to eat at Aspros Gatos (white Cat) at Mikro Neorio - perfect spaghetti with shrimps!! Another restaurant i like is Askeli at Askeli beach- try the greek version of nisoise is very nice. Great handmade icecream in patisserie "Glikisma"-city center and patisserie "Vessala" - harbour road at Pounta

Room Tip: don't choose the rooms next to the a/c station

The design of the hotel is amazing: the stunning view of the sea, the mountains and the port encircles the lobby and the veranda from all sides. The staff is friendly and efficient, rooms are clean. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are tasty
The twin bed room had in fact an european double-bed split into two, thus the beds are quite narrow when separated.
Breakfast coffee could be stronger

Room Tip: Many rooms have a fantastic view
