The museum itself is impressive and very well maintained. Great exhibits which are very well preserved. The guide was very interesting and the history was well presented and explained. Truly Impressive and is a MUST when you visit the island.

“best guide ever”
Reviewed 6 August 2014

If our teachers taught us the greek history in a half as interesting way as this guide, we would have loved it. Besides, they even let us carry our small dog inside the building, which proves their admittedly very high cultural level. Congratulations.

“Should not be missed”
Reviewed 28 July 2014

This museum is housed in the original residence of the heroine of Spetses. Bouboulina raised her own navy, paid for it and captained the ships and went to war. Seeing this house and hearing the stories is a great way to learn the local history

“You MUST visit this museum.”
Reviewed 23 July 2014

I am thrilled to have attended this museum's conducted tour. The guide not only has a deep knowledge of history but also he is not afraid to communicate even things that Greek history books choose not to mention in order to make history more appealing and inspire feelings of patriotism. He does an excellent job and shows his love to it. I can't but pay my sincere congratulations.
The museum is amazing! All those furniture ageing from the 18th century (and some are even older) give you the feeling that somehow you are way back then, when Bouboulina lived there.

TIP: The scheduled times of every day's guides are posted outside the museum and at Dapia's port (right at the corner next to Roussos cafe)
