What would you expect from an italian restaurant after 10 days of greek food?? Excellent pasta, don't you?
Well then Acquasanta may be a disapointing choice.
We went there for diner, had 7 pasta dishes and 3 starters. No need to describe them: half of them were average and the other were poor: too dry, with simple but not nicely cooked sauces...
The only thing at expectations: the suggested bottle of italian red wine which was outstanding.
The bill was the most expensive we paid in Greece: 117€. Would be fairly valued only if food would have been as good as the atmosphere and the staff suggested...

We spent 2 evening of our 3 days in Alonissos dining at Acquasanta Restaurant.
After 2 weeks in Greece we were a little bit tired with the Greek cuisine you can find in the touristic restaurants that is very good but - this is my advice - a little bit repetitive.
When we discovered Acquasanta we finally could taste our Italian flavours with Greek ingredients. We were travelling as a group of 6 italians (3 couples) and we all appreciated a lot Acquasanta restaurant and its italian specialities.
The owner is an Italian boy very professional in describing the dishes, very kind and with a passion for his job. He informed us that all dishes were cooked with Greek ingredients because he tried to mix the elements of which Greece is rich with Italian cooking style-culture.
The idea is wonderful and the result is very good.
You can spend a pleasant evening in Acquasant eating good italian foods (pasta, fish, meat, everything cooked in a particular way and also with daily adds to the menu depending on the fresh "pescado" of the day) and drinking good wine (wine is not the best thing you can find in Greek restaurant, here you have a selection of good Italian and Greek wines).
Finally, the view from the terrace is wonderful. Athmosphere is romantic and elegant.
Prices are just a little bit higher than Greek standards (30-35 euros at person for a complete meal with starters, pasta or fish/meat and dessert, wine included) but correct for the quality.
Highly recommended.

I went there with my boyfriend the first day we arrived on the island. We wanted a sure choice so we just went for the No1 on tripadvisor although we were looking for smth with greek cuisine. My expectations were more than met and it is indeed the No1 in the island in my opinion. Excellent service, with a personal touch and italian waiters. They suggested some meals and fish that were really fresh, to help us. Not to talk about the view. It's really really nicely situated and it's like a balcony overlooking on the island. The food was also delicious. I had the best shrimp i have ever tasted in my life. The portions may not be big but the quality is the best. I had a great time and i will definetely go again!!

A wonderful terrace overlooking the hills and the sea, with a thick roof of grapevine protecting you from heat and sun, and a menu that is a perfect mixture of local ingredients (fish, above all) and Italian cuisine and care for details (the manager is a young Italian man originally from Turin). Prices are 50 per cent higher than in the other tavernas, but considering that food is 100 per cent better, it is well worth it.
