I go to Trikala because of my job
I stayed a few times in this hotel
always with a colleague so that we can pay for a double room because I could not pay the room by myself
the rooms are relatively spacious, clean but with heavy decoration
the bathrobes are nice but for such a price I would expect better shampoos and bathroom amenities
the breakfast is very good
the stuff extremely helpful and polite
the hotel has a very nice restaurant, not very expensive (we enjoyed the salada and a dish with salomon)
you have to take a car to reach Trikala

I traveled to Trikala for a wedding. The hotel was tantamount with any major hotel. The staff, the room, the plentiful breakfast, the food in the restaurant were excellent. Parking was easy. There was also wi fi access.

we stayed here for a couple of days in May. The hotel was nice, breakfast buffet was good and I agree with the previous review that the cappuccino being free with breakfast is good. the rooms were nice and in general the hotel was nice and clean. only downside was that the "indoor heated pool" was not heated (May) and we couldn't use it. the location is great because its hard to find a place to park in downtown trikala so the hotel parking was convenient.

After having stayed at a not-so-real 4* hotel in Halkidiki, it was a relief to find that the Aeton Melathron lived up to its rating. From the beginning, a very warm check-in, spacious room for three where they added an extra bed, lovely bar by the pool where we had drinks in the evening, and the best breakfast of our whole vacation: several cakes, fried eggs and bacon plus little omelettes, yogurt with several fruit toppings, lots of fresh fruit, cereals...heaven! The crowning touch was being told the cappuccino was part of the breakfast buffet and we didn't have to pay extra for it, as we do everywhere else in Greece! There was free wi-fi in the room, a nice pool (although we didn't have a chance to use it), nor did we eat in the restaurant (hence I hold back on rating it a 5). Great value, as we paid 110 euros for the four of us, including the exceptional breakfast. The location is just outside the center of Trikala and about 15 minutes to Meteora...having seen Kalambaka, which looked like the typical cement nightmare despite the stunning backdrop, I would definitely recommend people with cars to stay here instead!

We stayed there for 1 night. Everything was great, apart from the price.
This is how Greece works. When you have something much better then the others you have to double or triple the price. I believe that, other than that, this hotel is the best in the town of Trikala. And if you want a luxurious getaway for a couple or a family, this is it!
I won't get into details because it has everything and even more.
If you can afford it don't think twice.
Book it!
