“Contemporary clean and well located”
Reviewed 8 June 2014

This is a small hotel in Aarhus, but the rooms are very contemporary with very typical Scandinavian design (minimalist) furniture and decor. No iron board or iron in the room for instance, but a Bang & Olufson TV and Phone.
Breakfast is a very basic continental help yourself style, but is adequate unless you are really addicted to full english.
Conveniently located near to the railway station and shops, bars, restaurants, museum, etc. in the centre of town. Average price compared to other larger hotel chains in the city centre.
Comfortable stay, and would stay here again, although this was the third time I have stayed at this hotel anyway.

Room Tip: Try to avoid the very small single rooms, they have a very small single bed and the rooms are very s...

We stayed here again this time for 1 night on the 2nd June 2014 before heading off the Esbjerg.
We were in Room 2016, which was on the first floor overlooking the train station.
The Staff at Reception were just fantastic and very friendly and helpful. We parked our car in the Courtyard area which also has a seating place with shade for guests to have a drink in the evening. A very pleasant location.
Our room was very nicely decorated and it had some of the most comfortable beds were have used on any of our trips. The room facilities were brilliant, with bang and olufsen equipment and modern furnishings to suit.
The Wi Fi reception was very good indeed and you can get any business done with ease.
The breakfast area is lovely and airy and the staff friendly and make sure that all you need is there for you. There is a good choice provided. You can also get tea and coffee throughout your stay at this location as well which is very nice.
For us, this Hotel is a very good find and we will always try to use this as our main preference for the City of Aarhus. You get a great nights sleep, good breakfast and a very serene stay considering that it is near the centre. We had our windows open during the night and there was no disturbance at all. We will be using this Hotel in the future.

Room Tip: Rooms at the rear overlooking the train station we found very good and peaceful with little disturba...

Spacious room, lovely bathroom, nice toiletries, perfect cleanliness, large selection at breakfast, helpful staff, great location, and well-thought-out design. Reasonable price too. What's not to like? Could not fault it and would happily stay again.

Good location, friendly staff, nice breakfast, but my colleague likened her room to a jail cell. Bed is small, with no headboard (it abutted the radiator). There were no drawers, only two small cubbyholes to store clothes in the bottom of a free-standing closet with three sides that opened facing the wall. There were few hangers, one towel, no carpet, and a tiny shower. The furniture seemed flimsy. Internet access was fine, however, and included in the price. Overall, it was a decent place to stay but if you're aiming for luxury or even high comfort, you might need to look elsewhere.

I read the reviews here, but am totally not impressed after having spent a night at the hotel.

There's no shelf in the bathroom for you to put your things, except for a tiny pre-occupied shelf above the toilet. Towels weren't in the bathroom, so when you actually needed them for the first time you had to go dripping into the bedroom to find them.

The desk is too narrow to fit a 17" laptop, so not a good place to stay if you need to work a bit. The TV had few channels and only a single international one (CNN).

I asked for a room away from the train station, which is very close, and fortunately wasn't bothered by any noise. Nothing to look at out of the windows though.

For the money I'd much rather stay at Hotel Faber, which gives you a balcony, kitchen facilities including refrigerator, stove and dish washer, as well as a decently sized desk.

A great hotel for 2-3 nights if your on business. Fairly small rooms but free wifi, snacks and friendly staff - all you need while your on business. Its very central in Aarhus - 5 minutes to train station and 10 minutes to Scandinavian center. Hopefully will stay here again!
