I visited for a weekend with my grandparents. Everything was brilliant, from start to finish. Our hosts very friendly, warm and helpful and knew a lot of the local area's history. They made us feel very welcome. The accommodation itself was beautiful, clean, steeped in history, with a wonderful garden. All in all much recommended.

The Maribo Bed and Breakfast is a delightful experience. It is small, a 1783 cottage located behind the home of its owners with a private entrance and a stunning garden.
The cottage has only two double rooms with a common bathroom (very nice with a shower only) and a common kitchenette (modest but useful) separating them. The rooms are small, but a third person can sleep on the floor on a twin foam mattress (as our daughter did).
Fresh flowers decorate each charming room which also includes a small wardrobe, a color TV, and a small table and chairs. One of the rooms has a small couch.
The surroundings are gorgeous. See my photos. A guestbook for visitors does not have one single negative comment. This B&B appears to be quite popular among cyclists.
Maribo B&B is a two minute walk on cobbled streets to the center of town where there is a six centuries old market town square and the tourist bureau. Make sure you check out the events. We enjoyed visiting Polish dancers performing in the market square and a walking tour of the old area by the night watchman (in Danish, but charming anyway- my husband interpreted). Also a minute away is the landmark 15th century Cathedral (Domkirke).
Prices are around 400kr for a double occupancy and 250kr for a single. Breakfast is furnished for an additional 50kr. We did not eat the breakfast as we were visiting relatives in the neighborhood, but I sure would like to have tried it.
The owners were extremely friendly and helpful, and I look forward to our next visit for we will certainly stay there again. The hotel is on Brodregade 7 and is owned by Rene Debois. It has a website: [--]
