When I searched from the web trying to find a hotel in Copenhagen with good review, it was difficult. But then I found from Tripadvisor site that No one said bad thing about Nora Hotel, albeit the sample size (N =6) was small but I gambled on it. After three nights staying there, we found all the previous 6 reviews were very accurate. The hotel is simple but very comfortable. By walking it takes about a good 30 min to town center. Bus 5A can take one into town center in about 10 minutes. We had a superior size room on the side wing which was very quiet. However avoid the rooms facing the street and above a pizza parlor which could be very noisy with some many youngsters partying right beneath the rooms. The breakfast was plentiful although choices were somewhat limited. Overall, we had a goos stay and would recommend it.

Good location, friendly stuff. If you are lucky you can get a good deal in the price of the room. Recommended.

Very friendly staff are always on hand to help - including providing useful information on finding your way around the city. Bedrooms very clean and well set up - as are the 'common areas' of work space (good wifi etc) and lounge (with fresh flowers, newspapers, fruit etc) Good breakfast. Bedrooms at the front are spacious but can be noisy from the street below- and in the heat (as it was in June) the windows do need to be kept open and then rooms are well ventilated. Rooms at the back are smaller and quieter - although they can become stuffy in the heat. Overall, the way the hotel is kept, the excellant staff, the good value and the position it is in (very near to metro/rail/ and on bus route) make it really worth staying at. We loved walking out and eating in Norrebro in the evening - head up to the cemetary, walk through it and then out onto streets with great cafes and bars which are truely 'neighbourhood' and bohemian...or just walk over the road and walk up the street opposite the hotel to find good places to drink and eat. Or ask advice and directions from the staff on reception! We had a greta stay and will be back...

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back if street noise disturbs you.

Hotel Nora is great value for money in a city where value is hard to find. It would probably be more correct to call Hotel Nora a bed and breakfast because that's what you get.
The location is perfect for doing most things in Copenhagen (business/pleasure). The rooms are simple (variable size) but clean and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and eager to help. Breakfast which is self serve is of a good standard versus other hotels in Denmark.
There are plenty of restaurant/cafe options for lunch and dinner in walking distance from the hotel.

As a woman traveling alone in Copenhagen, I found Hotel Nora to be safe, clean and the staff were very accommodating and friendly. It's super convenient to pretty much anywhere you would want to go in the city. It's definitely no frills but the bed was comfortable and the room had everything I needed (including a hairdryer, small refrigerator and free WiFi!). It did not have A/C but hardly anywhere does and it was quite cold when I was there so it wasn't a problem. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and filling. Only negative thing I can say is that on the weekend nights it was a little loud - the rooms all overlook a courtyard and not the main street but there are bars/restaurants nearby and the sound traveled. All I had to do was close the windows and it was quiet but became a bit warm. Overall, I would definitely recommend Hotel Nora to someone looking for an inexpensive place to stay that still wants all the comforts of home.

Nora is an excellent value, and good hotel in the bohemian district, where there are comparatively few hotels. It's walking distance to the city center, and conveniently located near the Noerrebro railway station and on the bus lines. This is not a deluxe hotel -- accommodations are small, plain and simple, but clean and perfectly adequate for most purposes. Breakfasts are very nice, and there's a large common area. Note that there is no elevator, and you need to go up at least one flight of stairs just to get to the reception. There are no phones in the rooms, either, although there's a pay phone in the common room. There is WiFi, but I it was intermittent at busy times. Service is very friendly. Comparing notes with others who stayed at far more expensive hotels in Copenhagen, Nora is a super deal.
