We stayed at this hotel on a stopover - our 2 nights at this hotel ended up being the highlight of out trip (we were traveling for well over a month!). We found the staff to be exceptional, what service should be at all 5 star hotels, we found our room to be beautiful, with thoughtful touch's everywhere you looked and a fabulous fire place. We loved the beautiful grand bar upstairs - just stunning, the bistro, bakery and restaurant of the highest standard and well, we would stay here again in a heart beat - in fact, the whole Copenhagen experience was wonderful with Nimb setting the scene for a truly great time.

A couple of extra notes of thanks to the wonderful staff who managed to deliver us breakfast and coffee at 3:30am prior to our very early departure, checked us in at 8am on our very early arrival and treated us like we were the only guests in the hotel - this is service at its very best!

Room Tip: Eat at all the restaurants in the building!

Behind a relatively unassuming facade opposite the main station in Copenhagen lies a real oasis from a travellers point of view. Clichés I know but stylish, chic, unpretentious, spacious, quiet opulence are all easy words to apply to this hotel. The staff are helpful, the service unobtrusive and the breakfast perfect as a start to your day investigating a modern European city full of modernism, culture and an oldie worldly feel (think Amsterdam meets Sydney). There is a well rated-restaurant in the hotel but did not try it due to the diversity of places outside the hotel and the desire to explore. Food is a real plus around the place, (the Vietnamese/Indochina twist an unexpected angle), and can recommend first hand Kodbyens Fiskbar for great food if you find yourself in the Meatpacking District. The location of the hotel is great for investigating the city, about 15 minutes to walk to the main drags and canal side where you can catch a boat, a really cool way to see some of the city. I would also add the cleanliness of the city is something for London to learn from.
The hotel backs onto the Tivoli Gardens which where shut when we visited (only open summer months I believe), but its architecture and huge great lounge area upstairs make fine use of a building steeped in a feeling of grandeur and at night the lights on the outside wall seem to fit in with the place rather than smack of tackiness. Our room was spacious, comfortable and classy rather than glitzy and the view over the Tivoli Gardens a great backdrop for a wonderful valentines weekend treat. This hotel is not cheap and so my only disappointment would be its not easy to make a trip here a regular occurrence but without hesitation I would recommend this hotel to everyone as a place to stay where subtle luxury and small charm really get the chance to blossom

We stayed at the Nimb for the weekend in April. It was our first time in Copenhagen. The hotel looks unassuming from the road but once inside it is beautiful, comfortable and stylish. The staff were excellent and couldn't have been more helpful (although the room maids could have replenished our Molton Brown toiletries!)

The location is great, opposite the train station so very easy to and from the airport. Our room was large and confortable, overlooking Tivoli Gardens which was closed as it was prepared for the Easter holidays. The B and O equipment in the room was amazing - especially the Beosound! The bathroom is luxurious and has fabulous under floor heating. We were only sorry that it wasn't cold enough to light the real fire in the room.

Breakfast in the brasserie is really good, especially on Sunday when they serve an extensive brunch until early afternoon - we had a lazy mornng watching the Grand Prix in bed until 11am then went down to Brunch - a proper Sunday morning!

The centre of Copenhagen is a ten minute easy walk away and there are restaurants and bars nearby. Not the cheapest in town but a truly lovely and intimate small luxury hotel.

This was our 3rd visit to Copenhagen. Previously we had stayed in 71 Nyhavn which is reasonably priced and in a good location but the reviews on Trip Advisor and various endorsements (e.g. Conde Naste Traveller) led us to Hotel Nimb for what was intended as a birthday treat for my wife with a meal at Noma (see review).

Its location is ideal for a swift arrival from the airport by train. We were in our room in less than an hour from the plane touching down - I don't think that would be possible anywhere in the UK - and with (free) Small Luxury Hotels membership we were upgraded from the cheapest room facing the street to a much more opulent one overlooking Tivoli. Despite previous posts there is nothing unsavoury about the location and, depending on which attractions you are after, there is plenty to do nearby. Tivoli, obviously, but also the Glyptotek and the start of Stroget is only 5 minutes away. For a normal healthy adult everywhere in the city is in walking distance - even the Little Mermaid.

Out of season this was obviously a different and quieter experience from when things are in full swing but the hotel was still lit up at night and there was plenty to see from our window, including the peacocks and the gardeners preparing the flower beds for the opening of Tivoli in 2 weeks' time. Very good toiletries (Moulton Brown), separate basins and a huge bath tub - more like a small pool. Very comfortable bed and a state of the art B and O television. A few niggles: no matter how careful you are, water escapes from the shower and creates small floods close to the toilet; the safe deposit box is underneath the mini bar and requires flexibility to get down to it and good eyesight to follow its instructions when there; nobody had checked the I-Pod/clock after the previous occupant so we got an unwanted call in the middle of the night.

We couldn't try the Vinotek as work was being carried out on that part of the hotel where a further restaurant is due to open in April but the Bar is very impressive (if a little large given how few people were using it) and makes some excellent if pricy cocktails. Breakfast is taken in the Brasserie and is impressive in both choice, quantity and quality - especially the breads and patisserie from Andersson's Bakery which is adjacent to the hotel and can be accessed directly from the foyer.

Service was excellent - especially the staff on the front desk who were very helpful in all sorts of ways All in all we liked this hotel a lot and will return on our next trip to Copenhagen.

I came there as a photographer to attend the fashion show of Wackerhaus during the Copenhagen Fashion Week on February 2011. As soon as I came in, I was impressed by the elegance of the hotel. I felt I was transported into a different era where hotels were known for their elegance and perfection. It did not look a hotel to me at first because the surroundings were like being in a private residence. Even those I met at the reception were very accomodating. I was treated more than just a guest even if I was not staying there. The next time I come to Copenhagen, I will make sure I stay in this hotel.

Six of us, three couples, stayed here for a weekend. The reception staff were very good, nothing was to much trouble! We had breakfast included in our deal which was lovely and available until lunch time over the weekend! The rooms were as good as the previous reviews had said and overall we very pleased this hotel and would go back again.
