“New, clean, relatively inexpensive for the area”
Reviewed 7 June 2014

We are two seniors from Florida who stayed here about a month ago. We found the staff to be friendly and relatively knowledgeable. Breakfast was very nice but expensive - $14 - juice, milk, coffee, tea, several nice breads and rolls, pate, salami, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, fruit, and cereals - buffet style. The room was small but efficient and clean. Bed is sideways so 2nd person needs to 'hop over' the outer person. No phone. Desk. Hanging area with 4 hangers. TV is fine. Location is 2 blocks from central station and Tivoli Gardens. Bed pillows are small.

I worked in Copenhagen for about a year, and I stayed in this hotel 3 to 4 nights a week. This hotel is very fairly priced. The staff is polite and friendly. Check in process is fast. The internet WIFI access is superb. The beds are good. The location is quiet, even though its placed in the middle of the city.

The only minus with this hotel is the breakfast. You are better of not paying for breakfast. Go 200 meters down the road and you will find much better food for a better price.

Room Tip: The higher up, the better the view.

Wakeup Copenhagen was booked for the first time, and really exceeded my expectations. Rooms are small but they have what it tales. Shower facilities though small are of good hotel quality. Rooms were quiet and with good air conditioning. Parking is expensive and the neighbourhood not that inspiring.mall in all most recommendable for the yravellers who expect to use the room only for sleep and shower. Free internet and security on par with an ordinary good hotel.

I only stayed for 1 night as I was just stopping over on my way to Aarhus for business. It was a great spot to stay though as it fairly close to the train station (about a 10-15 min walk) and downtown Copenhagen. The price is also very good for the proximity.

It's a fairly new hotel. The rooms are small but that's typical of a standard European hotel room. There is WiFi available in the rooms and in the lobby.

They have bikes that you can rent to ride around as well. They also have lockers so you can lock up your valuables if you arrive earlier than you check in.

I would definitely stay here again if it was short stay.

The good....staff couldn't have been more helpful, good breakfast selection, close to Tivoli, very clean.
The not so good...small rooms, sleeping arrangements not ideal, in a somewhat industrial area.
The bottom line...if you're on a budget and want a basic good place to crash, this is it.

The simple truth here is that this is a low budget hotel, and not a good one at that. For the price paid it was impersonal and the rooms were very basic but poorly designed. The location is fair and not too far from the main town centre but overlooks a fairly industrial part of Denmark. We paid for a sky rooms which means it has a good view - it did not. The rooms were funky in terms of deign but they were poorly thought out. There were no drawers other than 2 pull out drawers under the bed. My partner and I had 2 separate duvets (rather than 1 duvet for the double bed) and the pillows we each had were very different. One of the pillows was acceptable but the other was very flimsy and small. Only 1 pillow for each of us was provided. The bathroom was a glass pod in the centre of the room, very 'spaceage'. When the shower was used the entire room filled up with steam and the window, which barely opened more than a crack, did not allow enough air in. We then both felt faint and uncomfortable. Also the walls, mirrors and windows were covered in condensation. The staff were not particularly welcoming upon our arrival and departure. I would not rush to go back there and would advise that you spend a little bit extra and stay in one of the authentic, quality hotels in Copenhagen centre.

The location is 15 minute walk from the train station. There are no shops or restaurants on the street, where Wakeup Copenhagen is situated. The hotel room was a decent size for 1 person. The bed was comfortable. There is a pull out rack for a suitcase, but no drawers to store things. In the bathroom, the Hotel provided 1 single use shampoo packet, a bar of soap, 1 hand towel, and 1 bath towel. There was no facial tissue, wash cloth, or bath mat. The room was clean and the climate control worked well. Breakfast selection for food was limited, but okay. The coffee was very good.
