“Hell no, not a business hotel”
Reviewed 5 June 2010

Boss on economy drive - bad mistake. This was the worst business hotel I've ever stayed in...You can touch the wall from your bed - the opposite wall. And it's got bunkbeds for heaven's sake. Go to the loo and flush your head in the shower at the same time. Nothing apart from a ladder to hang your suits from. No room service. Plasic cups. You cant even charge anything to your room from downstairs, that's how much they trust you. No access to an iron. No hairdryers. It's close to the Bela centre, but hoorah...you wouldn't want to bring any clients back ever... It's taken me this long to get over it to write a review about it.

I was travelling to Helsinki with Copenhagen transfer and got stuck there for two days. The company I travelled with arranged rooms in this hotel. I must say when I opened the door for a moment I got shocked by the size of the room, but then after all there was everything I needed during these days. The bathroom is definitely minimal, ant the shower can be tricky if someone leaves it on before you and the first time you want to wash your hands the water is coming right on your head...
The environment is quite OK, there is a big shopping centre right next to the hotel with some restaurants, and a metro station about 5 minutes walk.
I would not recommend it couples, but for youngsters for a low budget holiday can be perfect.

We slept at Cabinn Metro for one night in order to catch a flight from Kastrup early the next morning. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere. It was nearly impossible to find the parking lot and the entrance because no snow had been removed. The room smelled synthetic. We had to get batteries for the remote in the reception as they were missing. The top beds were not ready (no sheets). Glad it was just for one night.

I was terrified of this hotel after reading the awful reviews posted here. But it was much, much better than I expected. Yes, the rooms are tiny. But if you've got the room to yourself, you don't really need more space. The bed was comfortable, everything was clean, service was perfectly fine, and the breakfast was entirely adequate (bread, cheese, meat, fruit, yogurt, museli, cereal, coffee, tea, juice). We stayed during the COP15 climate conference, so the place was absolutely packed, but service was smooth, things stayed clean, it was great. It's very close to the metro, and walking distance to Bella. Two people in the bunkbed rooms is tight, but for one, no problem. WIFI worked great in-room.

Those who are after an affordable and basic budget hotel in Copenhagen may be happy here. If you want a downtown hotel with a minimum of atmosphere and facilities, stay away from this place. Location: a ten minutes walk from Ørestad station, between the airport (8 minutes by train) and the town centre (10 minutes by metro), but basically in the middle of nowhere in a business district. The hotel is still under construction (a few floors have opened): painters in the hallway from 6 am, uncovered concrete in the lobby and the breakfast room, construction works outside your window from dawn onwards. So far, nothing reveals this is Liebeskind-designed (the picture of the facade on the website clearly reflects future intentions). Breakfast is spartan: muesli, yoghurt, rolls, jam. And, finally the rooms: small and boat-cabin like indeed, claustrophobic bathroom cubicles that flood when you take a shower, no sound-proofing to speak of, but good beds. There is free Wifi-internet in the hotel, the lobby also serves as the most unpleasant hotel bar ever. There is probably not much more to expect for 65 euros in an expensive town - but I wouldn't go back.

We had an expo in Bela Center in Copenhagen last month. We were directed to this hotel, since it is walking distance to our expo. Rooms like boxes and cold, very amateur and lousy hotel management, worst breakfast ever and even expensive. It was the worst hotel experience of my life.

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at.
Their false advertising "luxury for cheap" is a lie and should be removed from their advertising. This claim is on everything in these juvenile rooms with bunk beds that you can barely even fit in. The toilet, shower and sink is all in one and leaks. There is no wireless, even though they advertise that there is. And it is NOT cheap.
Even though the conference I attended will be held in Copenhagen for the next 2 years, I will never stay at this dormitory again and I will everything I can to let my two thousand + colleagues know to stay away.
Some friends who were also to stay there left the hotel after seeing rooms.
Other friends were told that their rooms were not yet completed and they would be sent to other Cabinn hotels 17 km away.
One colleague upon entering their room, found their shower curtain had been smeared with feces. Yes, it’s true.
The floors were covered in dust from work being on hotel.
This hotel was in no condition to accept to accept hotel guests and the owners should feel ashamed of themselves. But even when it is complete it is still should not be called a hotel. Staying at this hotel was not only a miserable experience, but was a terrible introduction to Copenhagen. I am sure that most of my colleagues who were in Copenhagen for the same conference will be writing at their disappointment and their feeling of a waste of money.
Most of the staff were unaccommodating, unfriendly, and unknowledgeable.
I actually cannot believe I stayed there and paid for it.
