“Decent hotel”
Reviewed 28 August 2014 via mobile

Not too distant from city centre and station if you don't mind walking. View at the moment dominted by building site as hotel is expanded.
Plus points - clean room, good bed, friendly staff
Minus - breakfast is a bit pricey - you feel you have to pig out to get vfm.
Note to management: More tea/coffee in room please!

The hotel was nice, clean and the room was very small and we rented the 'family suite'. The morning buffet was very expensive, we did not purchase. Bathroom was clean and modern. We would stay at this hotel again, but not with 4 people, maybe 2 people only.

We stayed here for a week, 2 adults and 2 children in a standard family room (the room was compact but fine).
The Tivoli is a Beautiful kid friendly hotel, with a nice playroom and an outdoor playground.
Great breakfast, very good service , Fast and free Wi-Fi, Nice and Quiet Location, bus stop right outside, 10 minute walk to Tivoli Gardens and rail station.
Large shopping mall with a big supermarket five minute walk
The indoor pool is beautiful but is too cold!
My biggest complaint is the too soft mattress (if you suffer back pain, you should consider this issue).
Nice place to stay in for families with kids.

We stayed for a few days at this modern hotel, themed on the Tivoli park which is fairly close by. The room was modern and clean with tea and coffee facilities and free snacks and water. Breakfast was good, a range of cereals, fruit and continental meats and cheeses. We ate a meal in their bar area, as the restaurant was fully booked that night. the food was good, but like everywhere in Copenhagen quite expensive.
Great shower in our room.
The concierge was quite rude and unhelpful when our door key wouldn't work , it took three attempts to get it to work, with a maintenance man having to dismantle the door lock! But hey, these things happen! the young assistant was helpful and polite, the maintenance man was apologetic and it got fixed! The manager apologised and we were treated to a bottle of wine that evening, which I REALLY appreciated!
Overall a very nice hotel, the bus for the airport and rail station stops across the road, which is convenient, but it isn't a free bus, so have extra change ready to buy your tickets.

Room Tip: ask for an upgrade to a junior suite, well worth the extra money.

Located about 15mins walk from the town centre and the much talk about Tivoli Gardens. Generally a nice stay for 2adults and 2kids. They gave the kids a build-a-bear welcome ted and 4 free enrty passes to the Tivoli Gardens... Their family room was quite small with very small floor space. So had to upgrade. Even then there is no bath, so no chance for a soak!. The Pool is very cold, not heated at all. The playroom was ok although more suited to younger children (pre-teens). The restuarant is great for dinners, although I think they could add more variety to their breakfast buffet. The customer service was exceptional. They have no airport shuttle which is a pain. Overall a decent hotel and a Nice stay. Quite pricey but again Copenhagen is a very pricey town.
The Sushi Bar at the Hotel is super and a must-try. Apparently the best in town, even the Taxi guys say so.
Took a trip to Malmo in Sweden. Nice small town.
Visited Tivoli gardens, the Blue aquarium, and took the canal Tours ( which my kids found boring). Enjoyed the local hot dogs though!

The tivoli is a large hotel and conference centre that is decorated and themed to reflect Copenhagen's famous Tivoli gardens amusement park. The hotel is located about a 10 minute walk from Central Station and 15-20 minutes walk from the centre of Copenhagen.

The reception and room decor is bright and cheerful. Our bedroom was a reasonable size with a comfortable bed and flat screen tv and minibar. The bathroom had a walk-in shower. My only critique of the room itself was that the tea and coffee facilities were limited with only 2 sachets of creamer and 2 sugars provided - not enough for just one persons use let alone two.

The hotel has a large and busy breakfast room and there was a good selection of hot and cold items to choose from. The hotel also has a pool but we didn't use.

Overall this is a comfortable and reasonable quality hotel to stay in. Be aware though that it is a bit of a walk into the centre of town (though you can get a bus) and there is nothing really around the immediate vicinity of the hotel i.e. restaurants or bars. It is, however, not far from the station.

Dear Nick,

Thank you for reviewing your experience here at Tivoli Hotel & Congress Center. I am sorry that you didn't ask the reception staff for more creamer and sugar for your coffee/tea. The package in the room is a welcome package and the reception can always provide you with more sugar/creamer if needed. You should never hesitate to contact the reception if in doubt about anything here at the hotel. They will almost always be able to help you.
When you mention that there is nothing around the immediate vicinity, I wonder if you have visited our Skybar on the 12th floor? There is a very popular Japanese restaurant and bar.

I hope we will have the pleasure of welcoming you again in the future,

Yours sincerely,

Generally acceptable stay, however you don't get much for your money.

The room was very small considering 'superior'. Small double bed, no floor space and no bath. The sofas and cushions need to be checked as they were quite frankly just dirty. (See pictures - really gross!!)
Staff very good and helpful.
Location a little walk from the town centre, however near to the airport for transfers.

Paid a lot for what we got (didn't even get breakfast!) We wouldn't stay again.

Dear Alice,

First of all I would like to thank you for sharing your experience here on Tripadvisor. Second, I would like to apologize for the dirty cushions, which I will report to the Executive Housekeeper immediately. When staying at a hotel everything should be spotless of course.
I appreciate the nice comment about the staff and will make sure they receive the feedback.

I am sorry to read that you wouldn't stay here Again. However, I hope you will have a nice time in Copenhagen next time you visit.

Kind regards,

Jakob Ellermann
