Description: Welcome at The Red Box, a modern asian-french fusion restaurant in the heart of Copenhagen with a fashionable situation and a very warm and smiling atmosphere and service. The menus are based on a healty edition of the classic french bistro cuisine with a twist of South-East Asian spices and vegetables. The concept of The Red Box is similar to the best fusion restaurants in New York or San Francisco, reviewers tell us...Our courses are based on the most fresh vegetables, seafood, fish and meat at the market - some of them even organic - and we also are happy to serve you a vegetarian meal.

I don't normally review restaurants, but it Thought this one was worth the effort.

This is the kind of place that if it wasn't recommended to you, you probably wouldn't spot it. From the front it almost looks like it could be a take-away place, but when you step through the door, this couldn't be further from the truth.

The service is outstanding, especially for Copenhagen, where customer service is normally a bit lacking. The waiters were attentitive without being in the way. Our coats were taken when we arrived, good recommendations were made for the food and drinks, all our needs were met promptly and our coats returned to us when we left.

The food was very good and very reasonably priced. The presentation was also very pleasing on the eye. If I was forced to pick a fault, I'd say that perhaps the flavour of the sauces were a little strong for me, but that certainly did not stop me from thoroughly enjoying my food.

Another great thing about the restaurant is the toilets - rather than the usual restaurant toilets, they feel more like a bathroom at home, with lovely hand soap and a cupboard kitted out with perfume, ladies sanitary products and even toothbrushes and toothpaste available for use.

All in all a very pleasurable experience and I'll definitely be going back.

We had a great meal here – four courses with plenty of variety: four small starters; a tomato and chili soup with crab tails; an excellent leg of duck with crispy skin in a plum sauce, crispy vegetables and pommes croquettes; three small desserts. With the exception of the soup, which was fine but nothing out of the ordinary that you couldn’t cook just as well yourself, the dishes were unique, with well-balanced contrasting flavors and thoroughly satisfying.

The waiters were very attentive, friendly and professional. We were given excellent advice on wines by the glass to match the different dishes, and one had the impression that they really cared about your well-being.

What a nice place!

This restaurant was a real find. We had no idea it existed and we just happen to bump into it. The service was outstanding, the atmosphere is quiet and intimate, the wine selection great and the food is delicious. We tried the sample appetizer and our daughter remarked it was the best calamari and scallop she had ever tasted. The fish entree was phenomenal and so was the lamb. Do not miss this gem in a city of outstanding restaurants.

To start with, the redbox is a fusion of chinese and french cusine. Strange ha? i thought so too, but i got completely blown away. Appearence wise is a small place, as danish ppl say cozy. When you sit down on the table you are greeted with a warm towel with a very pleasent mint scent. Menu consists of a 4 starters, 4 mains, and 5 small desert presented in a ice cold plate. i happen to have the 5 from china as a stater, that consists of a shrimp toast, which was my fav, the confict duck with plum and chilli sauce, beautifully executed, and lastly the desert. overall loved it and defenatly going back!

This place is quite a surprise. The first impression is good, and it only gets better.

The cook has a magic wand with which he makes the most tasty food out of common delights.

Actually at a loss for words. One of my best ever.
