“Gorgeous hotel with great touches”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 January 2012

Great new design hotel, not to everyone's taste maybe but really enjoyed it. Better to ask for a room on a very high floor to enjoy the views! Free wifi but reception in room was not very strong at all. Loved the electric window blinds, but would be nice to have them set in between instead of just up or down. Great Skybar on the 23rd floor with mood lighting, very expensive for food and drinks though. Indoor shopping mall is 10 minutes walk away or 1 stop on the metro. Metro station is a two minute walk from hotel and runs into city centre.

Pros:
Nice new hotel
Nice food (The Library)
Nice beds

Cons:
Not for light sleepers - you can easily hear voices from other rooms.
Windows cannot open.
No shops in area within 15 minutes walk.
Glass between bedroom and bathroom are weird.

The only downside was the fog covering my 18th floor windows! Great living in for a single traveller as the bathroom had glass walls (frosted though). Nice gym as well as good breakfast.

Me and my boyfriend arrived to Copenhagen on December 30 to celebrate New Year there. We have chosen Bella Sky because we found a good deal on it (around 80 pounds a night) and it seemed like a fresh design hotel. We stayed 4 nights in medium twin room on the 12th floor overlooking the other tower. The room was nothing special with typical Scandinavian design but the view could have been better. The hotel is close to the Metro station which allows you to travel to the city center in just 10 minutes. There were some things that we didn't like about the hotel:
- room cleaning. There were dust and feathers from blankets everywhere that were never cleaned up.We were also very surprised that the cups we drunk tea from were never washed and we had to wash them overselves. It looked like all they did was changing the bed linen and making the bed.
- breakfast. Was very generous in selections of breads, cereals and so on, but poor quality for the price. Bacon was always burned, only scrumbled eggs and boiled eggs, but no fried eggs. Sausages were very bad as well. So I could really say I liked any of the hot dishes. That was the reason we chose to never dine in any of the Bella Sky restaurants. Was hard to believe they can serve tasty food there.
- pillows. Too thin and uncomfortable to our taste. The sleep was not very good.
I have to say we never tried gym and spa facilities there. We'll stay elsewhere next time, but it was okey for the price.

Located very close to the airport, this large, imposing (therefore slightly impersonal) hotel offered good value in a city where 'average' often costs you alot. Modern rooms with all the amenities you'd expect, offered a comfortable stay with good wi-fi. Service was good in the bars and restaurants (theres really nothing nearby, so no option other than to eat and drink at the hotel). The spa facilities were excellent. You pay a surcharge, but well worth it. Would say again.

Nice and trendy hotel with friendly and helpful staff its located close to a shopping center which is a short drive away. The room was nice, clean with excellent bed and free WiFi. The breakfast buffet had huge selection of various food and my favorite good crispy bacon.

One warning though the food served at the hotel is extremely expensive one hamburger costs 195 DKR which is around 26 Euro or 34 USD. So if you get hungry when staying at the hotel go somewhere else for the food.

I stayed there in September 2011. Price was very attractive for Copenhagen and the location familiar. It's very close to the airport, metro and Fields Shopping Mall. It's not far from downtown if you drive.
There is a car park in front of the hotel, which is adjacent to a convention center of the same name. Parking is free from 6pm to 8am, I think. You can pay by the 'automat' (machine) nearby (by the hour) or you can pay at the reception (80 crowns for all day I think, in the end this is more expensive if you drive away in the day).
I stayed at the very last floor. Room was surprisingly clean and large by Danish standards, bathroom has a tub and is sized generously too.
So far so good. Location - good. Rooms - clean and quiet. Price - very decent.
The problem with this hotel is that it's 'overdesigned'. All those automatic lightning in the room and metal and plastic accents make you feel like in an office. It's definitely not 'home away from home'. It's like my office but too small, if you see what I mean.
The breakfast is nothing to write home about and is priced outrageously, like 20 euros or about that. The Sky Bar is very small and uncomfortable, you can't really see anything through the telescope because of the thick glass around and reflections.
So. You will save some money staying at BellaSky. You'll feel a bit isolated from the hustle and bustle of Copenhagen, since the hotel is an airport hotel actually. You'll have good level of comfort and a feeling that you sleep in an office.
