Reviewed 26 June 2014

Radisson blu Scandinavia is located very well just a kilometres distance from central station. i booked in a business class room. Which is very small. The hotel reception staff is not very friendly. They get irritated when you ask them questions.
Not a very great experience.

Reviewed 25 June 2014

We stayed here on two occasions about 10 days apart in June. There are several positives and few negatives. During our first stay we were in the same room for both nights. We used Club Carlson points plus cash which is the way to do it since hotels in Copenhagen are so expensive. We flew into and out of Copenhagen and toured 3 other countries. Upon arrival our room was not ready even though I requested early check-in. They could not guarantee it. Travelling overseas overnight made for a long day especially when the room was not ready until closer to 2 pm. We did not go to the casino nor did we eat dinner at the hotel so I cannot review these. On our return to CPH we stayed 3 additional nights using points plus cash for 2 nights and a free 44K points the last night. After checking in we realized the toilet was not flushing properly so we were promptly moved to another room and given free breakfast for 2 mornings because we were moved to a business room. After the 2nd night we had to move again because our free night was not classified as a business room so we had to pack again but being in Europe we were used to packing and unpacking so we moved without any complaining. The front desk clerks were helpful. The room was very clean and the bedding was nice and comfortable. The hotel is close to the 5A bus which runs to the airport and into downtown and the metro is down the side street so it's no problem getting around CPH. Such a lovely city. We did not rent a car so getting around on foot was key for us. The hotel overlooks a nice lake where there is a walking path. There are not a lot of choices for restaurants nearby other than what are at the hotel so we took public transport to get meals closer to Tivoli and Nyhavn. The hotel was absolutely quiet and I had the best sleep of my European trip at this hotel. It's not the nicest hotel I've been in but we were happy with both of our stays as it was comfortable and all 4 rooms we had been assigned to over the 5 night stay were up high and all overlooking the City and the lake so we were happy. We would stay again.

Room Tip: Up high overlooking the lake

nothing special to say... Radisson is a standard in Scandinavia and most of hotels rooms are the same. This one in CPH is huge many international customers. Close to Metro station you basically don't need a taxy to go to the center. Get out of the hotel to eat and enjoy the beautiful city of Coenhagen. Don't do all in hotel as they suggest. There's a Casino too. Standard room is small! Bathroom nothing special! A good thing is the gym... they give you access to the local Fitness.Dk branch... fully equipped! Very good! Breakfast is awesome! Really. Recommended if you need just sleep and go!

This is one of the largest hotels in town, with lots of functions, three restaurants (Thai, international and Japanese - have reviewed Kyoto separately, not recommended), even a casino (!). I had booked here as part of conference participation with limited choice of hotels, so did not realize that the hotel would be located somewhat outside of the very city center, with little urban life around. The area felt safe also late evenings for a solo woman traveler, but you need to walk for 10-15 minutes or take a bus or metro to get to the center. There are no little cozy cafés or quirky shops around to pop in - but there is a garage with a well-equipped shop though for snacks, drinks and the like, close by.

The rooms are large, well-equipped, clean, and beds are comfortable. Surprisingly little wardrobe space. Rooms with views towards the city are absolutely to prefer – from the upper floors you can see a wonderful Copenhagen roofs and towers panorama and as far as to the Baltic sea – but the other side rooms face the parking lot.

During my five day stay there were a few maintenance issues, one concerning a noisy and leaking toilet and the second the wifi that stopped to function totally one evening. Both issues were fixed finally but I had to use quite a lot of my time to negotiate and complain about the toilet issue, and hang out on the computer help line. I ended up in changing rooms – and got in addition to a functioning toilet a nicer city view instead of parking lot view!

Breakfast buffet has lots of choice but is pretty standard quality. The breakfast room is large and very noisy especially during weekends. Coffee is readily in thermoses at the tables, and during my stay it was often not hot enough – I do not want to drink cold coffee for breakfast and ended up several mornings to ask the waiter for a fresh pot. Typically I did not get any reply and wondered whether the waiter had registered my request. After a while he came back bringing a new pot, put it to the table without saying a word and went away. Some service training would not harm. The reception and bar staff was friendly and effective.

The hotel website does not inform the quests how to get to the hotel from the airport if you do not want to use a taxi (ca 20+ DKK). There is a direct slow bus 5A from the airport, towards Husum Torv, stopping in front of the hotel. If using the metro, get off at Christianshavn station and change to another metro line towards Vestamager, ride one stop, getting off at Islands Brygge. The hotel is some 400 metres walk from that station.

It was an OK stay but only so. During my next visit in Copenhagen I would hardly stay in this hotel, but would go for somewhere smaller, more central with more personality.

Room Tip: As many others, I recommend the rooms with a city view - big difference!

We stayed just one night prior to boarding cruise ship. Hotel was ok. Nothing special but adequate for a one night stay. About a 15 minute walk to Tivoli Gardens. Not a lot around the hotel - so ended up eating at the hotel's Thai restaurant which was surprisingly good. (The other restaurant was more continental type food and didn't look like anything special.)

Room was fine. Queen size bed with 2 single duvets. Bathroom amenities average.

We booked a business class room and received one on the 24th floor with city view( I like to thank travelers from Trip adviser for their advices to book a room with city view) and we had the most amazing view of the town from our window; we also enjoyed watching from our window the beautiful fireworks from Tivoli garden.
The staff from check in and check out are very efficient and helpful.
The room was spacious and extremely clean; sparkling white bed linen, towels and bathrobes.
You can open the window to fresh the room.
Very good TV in the room with many channels, thought Copenhagen is so beautiful that we didn't spent too much time in the room.
There is a Nespresso coffee machine in the room, very good rapid free WiFi internet, good toiletries, business lounge and a room for smokers at the entry of the hotel;there are also many benches in front of the hotel where you can sit and enjoy the fresh air.
Very nicely decorated lobby, excellent restaurants and the breakfast buffet is very rich at "Mama's and Papa's" restaurant.
The hotel is not far from city center, just 10-15 minutes walk.
There is a bus stop for Hop on-Hop off CHristiania tour just near the hotel.
The staff at the concierge provides you with free maps and with tips on the Copenhagen's attractions.
I will always come back to this hotel when in Copenhagen.

Good location. Ample places to park although it cost me nearly $40 to park overnight. Standard rooms OK. My bathroom was in need of a refresh with 1 leaky faucet. Nice view. For a quick snack - reco to walk across the parking lot to the gas station - better selection and 1/3 the price.
