We stayed here for four nights in November. This hotel has everything you need for a stay in Copenhagen. First off the location is excellent. You can ride the metro from the airport and have about an 8 minute walk to the hotel, walking right past Nyhavn. The rooms are small by American standards, but normal for Europe. The bed was comfy and warm on the cold November nights. The breakfast was incredibly delicious. There was a wide assortment of breads and pastries, fruits, vegetables and other traditional food items. The hotel staff was eager to please each time we had a question - recommending restaurants, giving directions, etc.

Room Tip: We requested a room facing the courtyard and there was no outside noise at night.

I stayed there for a week and basically very satisfied with the comfy bed, buffet breakfast, and of course itsconvenient location! Just one minor comment of the lack of shower cabinetdoor on the 4/F standard single room I stayed ( just a shower curtain), which means the washroom floor became wet after taking shower, and became slippery.

Afterall, I am still quite satisfied with my stay at Phoenix and will definitely return.

I stayed 3 nights with three friend to celebrate ones birthday ,as I had chosen the hotel was a bit worried about the mixed reviews,There was no need .......The rooms which were standard doubles on 4th floor were fine, clean ,quiet, well equipped, The buffet breakfast was plentiful and varied I don't know what more anyone could ask for ??!!The staff were perfectly well mannered, polite and helpful....even arranging to post back to me a dress I left in the room !! In an expensive city we felt that the price was reasonable for the excellent location. This is not a five star hotel but it is not five star prices and was very good value for money.I would not hesitate to stay again or recommend it for travellers looking for a decent hotel in a perfect location at a reasonable price.Thank you for the return of my dress !!

Room Tip: The 4th floor overlooking the back courtyard is nice and quiet

Negotiated a discount on a two night stay for Sept 27 and 29th 2013. Hotel advised I must pay in advance to reserve the room. I advised I would not as I needed the flexibility of staying one or two nights. Should the room go, we would stay elsewhere. Two nights before I rang to notify we would stay one night only, to which they said it was fine. However, on arrival reception attempted to charge us for two nights without advising me. After much negotiation I got my bank card back but they refused to accommodate us- thank god for Radisson Blu!

Room Tip: Don't pay the advertised price, negotiate a discount.

Dear traveller,
Thank you for your insight from your visit at Phoenix Copenahagen in September. We knew your reservation was for a special occation and we had prepared a little something for you in the room allocated (a nicer room than the one originally booked free of charge to make this a perfect honeymoon stay). On friday evening when you were suppose to check in for your two nights stay, we were informed on phone that you were still arriving, but now only on Saturday morning. We were then holding on to your room, when you were still for check in on Saturday and it was to late to cancel the night free of charge (flexible rate booked is only possible to change or cancel up till 12 noon local time on the arrival day). The reservation conditions were described in the confirmation letter recieved when the room was booked so we were supriced that the flexible rate conditions were understood as a room rate where the room was guaranteed free of charge and only paid when used.
We are sorry that this misunderstanding interfeared with your honey moon stay and you decided to stay at another hotel instead of Phoenix Copenhagen.
We congratulate you on your wedding and hope that you enjoyed Copenhagen despite this experience.
Kind regards

Only stayed one night for business. Nice hotel, great location near royal palace, pleasant walk in the morning. Very comfortable but single room on ground floor very small. Would not have wanted to stay 2 nights. Breakfast ok. Not best but pleasant. Staff friendly.
