Owner description: The National Museum of Denmark is the largest culture-historical museum in Denmark. The museum is a dynamic cultural institution offering a great variety of exhibitions and activities. Our artefacts come from all over the world and from different time periods. We can take you on a journey, traveling thousands of years through time and experience everything from the Danish national treasure the Golden Horns and the 3000 year old Egtved Girl to African masks and Egyptian mummies. In the Children's Museum, you can see and try things that show how people ate, worked, played and dressed hundreds of years ago in different environments.

Loved this museum! Informative and interesting. Didn't spend a ton of time here as we were with a younger child (not so many things for them to do!) but enjoyed what we did see.

very near to Rosenborg Castle, so you can include both of them in one hit, 5 minutes walk between the castle and the museum. We liked most of the museum articles, but the modern art pieces were NOT at our taste at all. do we recommend a vsit the answer is YES.

I loved this museum. First of all, it's free! The exhibits were so well done, so informative but in an interesting way. If you are curious about how world peoples who came before us lived, you have to see this museum. Amazing collection of items.

Last time I came here I came alone and thought the museum was a fantastic place. This time I came with my family and still think the same. The childrens museum is brilliant for kids with plenty of opportunities for dressing up. There are ample free lockers to leave your stuff in (you cannot take bage around the museum) and you have to swap your pushchair / buggy for one of theirs at the entrance - not sure why.

Even though the gift shop was flooded with Viking merchandise there was precious little on show in the museum
