We stayed for three nights in May. Lovely owner, who, as soon as we walked in. Gave us a map of Copenhagen and exactly where all the good sights were. The room was exceptionally spacious and really warm beds. Great if you're in a budget and want to cook your own food. There were just little things that were in need of fixing around the place, and would have been good if there was more cutlery and plates etc. in the upstairs kitchen.

The position is perfect, very close to the metro station for the airport and for the city center, the center is also reachanle in ten minutes by feet. We were a family with a child and a baby and the triple room is very big and confortable, toilets are two on the floor and we have never find them buisy, there is also an organised kitchen.surely we will come back again!

I stayed here for three nights. The room (and shared kitchen/bathroom) was clean and efficient, however the hallway smelled badly of cigarette smoke and the internet wasn't working for half of my stay. Very well located with buses into the city right outside and a corner store next door.

Room Tip: A hairdryer and extra blanket and pillow would be ideal.

We actually stayed here last year, but I always said when I start reviewing that I'd include this place. Hopefully it's still run by the same people. We loved the room - it was clean and had so much character. It was a shared bathroom but that didn't bother us. We didn't run into any of the other guests there, even when we were hanging out in the kitchen. Continental style breakfast was nice. Carsten the host was super friendly and even met us out at one of the local attractions. We sometimes walked places, sometimes got a bus - both convenient. Great value for money - especially in a place that can be a bit pricey!

Accommodation in Copenhagen is not cheap so if you're on a budget, but don't fancy roughing it in a hostel, this is an ideal choice. It's in a great location, convenient for the airport and only about 20 mins walk from the historic city centre. Otherwise known as the Guesthouse Copenhagen, you'll find this little gem at the junction of Amagerbrogade and Ved Amagerport; take the Metro to Amagerbro or Christianshavn - its about halfway between the two (be warned that Google Maps shows Amagerbrogade 4 in the wrong place). The entrance is sandwiched between the Oxford Cafe and Oscar by Night Pizza and looks like the doorway to any other block of flats, which is essentially what it is. There's no reception as such, so you'll have to buzz to be let in (make sure you confirm what time you're arriving).
The guesthouse occupies rooms on the second and fourth floors of the building. I stayed on the second floor and found it very comfortable, clean and quiet. You have use of the kitchen and fridge so, if you prefer, you can do as I did and stock up on cheap food from one of the two supermarkets in the area. Tea and coffee is provided free of charge. As others have mentioned here, the owner Carsten is a very friendly and helpful guy; he speaks English and German fluently and can offer tips on what to see and do while you're in Copenhagen. The other guests were also interesting to chat to, a nice mix of ages and nationalities, including people travelling for both business and leisure.
