We spent 3 nights in this central hotel. We choose it for the location and because the breakfast was included in the rate( Cph is a very expensive city).
pros:location,good breakfast,cleanliness.
cons: front desk girl named Nana, she didn't bother to say hello in the morning and she seamed really annoyed all the time a question was asked. We had to upgrade our room to a superior one to get a double bed because they had only standard twin rooms.
Stay at B.W Hotel city If you want a no frills centrally located hotel.

Since we had lots of luggage, we chose to take a taxi from the airport to the hotel and arrived quickly. The hotel is conveniently located in the city center and is within walking distance of most attractions. Check-in was quick and easy and the staff are very friendly, speak English very well and are happy to offer any help you may require. Our room was small but clean and bright and very quiet. The shower, as indicated in previous reviews, was very tiny but adequate. The hotel offers free internet access. The hotel also offers an amazing buffet breakfast which is included in the price of the room. If you are staying there before going on a cruise, the staff will call a taxi for you to go to the cruise port at a flat rate of 150DKK. Overall, I would recommend this hotel because of the convenient location and pleasant staff.

The location of this hotel is excellent very near to all the sights, Nyhaven and the Metro which we took from the airport and found the hotel very easily. We were on the fifth floor small twin bedded room which was very hot and stuffy no air conditioning in the hotel. We had to leave the window open at night for some air goodness knows what it would be like in the summer months. The shower room was very small with a nasty smell from the drain in the shower. We were only staying three nights if it had been longer I would have asked for another room. Beds were comfortable and a fan was provided which helped a little. Breakfast was good but no better than any European hotel but it is included in the cost. Nice little bar which nobody seems to use which is a shame. All in all great location but don`t expect too much of the hotel and for what you are paying

Dear Iaz1.

You are always welcome to inform us if the room does not meet your expectations or if things are not working. Then we have the possibility to move you to another room and ask our technician to take a look at the situation.

Unfortunately we do not have A/C. We are located in a 100 year old building so we are a bit challenged in order to install it. Hardly any hotels in Denmark offers A/C because the weather during summer time is not that hot. We do have a small table fan in every room and all windows can be opened.

I am glad you enjoyed the location and appreciate your feedback.

Kindest regards,
CHBruun

Our room at the City hotel was small, but very clean and decently appointed. Most surprising to us was the absence of AC in the room - I cannot remember the last time I stayed in an hotel that charged almost $200 a night and did not have climate controls in the room. The reception desk assured us that this was typical for most if not all hotels in Copenhagen, but regardless the room felt hot and stuffy when we arrived. The fan in the closet did a decent job of refreshing the atmosphere... The weather did stay quite fair and cool, so after a few hours the room was comfortable. But we had to keep the window open at night to get some fresh air, and of course we could then hear all kinds of street noises... On the plus side, internet access was free... Best feature of this hotel, besides a good location, was the free buffet breakfast which featured eggs, bacon, cheeses, fruits, pastries, good coffee and good tea...

Room Tip: My guess is that room on a higher floor would be less susceptible to street noises, if one has to leave the window open for lack of AC...

We checked in Sunday and the drain in the shower wouldn't drain flooding out the bathroom in our 1st room. The door handle kept falling off in the second room they gave us. Finally the third room was ok but the shower was quite small and the first two rooms were incredibly dark. The carpet in the tiny elevator was filthy. On the plus Side the location is great and the free breakfast has a wonderful selection of breads and good cheese.

Dear Cindy D,

Thank you very much for your kind feedback, which is extremely important in order for us to improve our product. I sincerely apologize for your experience.

For your information, I changed our technical maintenance set-up from an out-sourced solution to having our own full-time employee as of October 1st, in order to improve our maintenance and product.

For your information, the week after your stay we painted all public areas and corridors, carpet cleaned all our corridors and changed the carpet in our 2 lifts and front entrance. This we do every 6 months.

I trust that our product and your stay was succesful after all, and I sincerely hope that we are able to welcome you back to Best Westren Hotel City, where I can guarantee that our maintenance is meeting our guests needs.

Kindest regards
