Good basic hotel, a bit tired and in need of renovation.
Reception check-in and check-out was quick and efficient, breakfast was adequate but nothing fancy.
Rooms are a bit tired inside and would need an update. Strangely enough my room had a brand new Samsung flat screen TV but the rest of the room had a twin bed as this is the only beds they offer, no queen or king. Bathroom was clean but on the smaller side of things. overall good value for money for a one nights stay.
Location is also convenient as in walking distance to the city center and some of the sights!

The bar/ reception/ lobby area is very modern and elegant. There are two PC’s in the lobby area with a fast internet connection, freely available for the guests. On one of them, however, virus protection was outdated.

The breakfast buffet was Ok; great selection of food, average quality.

The room we had was clean, with a big TV and a nice bathroom with a good shower. The air in the room was quite bad, though, and it did not really help to keep the window open all day.

Hotel City is very centrally located, just a few minutes walk from Nyhavn and Kongens Nytorv.

There are a few restaurants and small grocery/ food shops in the street, and on a hot summer day the ice cream bar Isobar in Havnegade, right around the corner from Nyhavn, is recommendable.

Very clean, modern, comfortable hotel. Excellent buffet breakfast. hotel is well situated in being both in a quiet location but easy walking distance to main places.
The negative points were lack of secure luggage hold (they put my case & computer behind the counter) and rather cold attitude of staff.

  • Disliked — No secure left luggage facility

Changed the first room we got as it wasn't up to our expectations. Second room was better, but the whole hallway was smelly. Couldn't really identify the smell. The staff were helpful and there was no problem to change the room.

Excellent breakfast, but that seems to be the norm in Denmark. The location is ok, but a 5-10 minutes walk to get to "strøget" the main street in Copenhagen and to the train station it's quite a walk and not recommended with luggage.

A hint at the end...I love korean food, but avoid the korean restaurant across the street from this hotel. Very ordinary food and awful service. Not sure if it still exist. It would surprise me if it does.

First time in Copenhagen: excellent city, very cold... Good hotel; regarding the service they are very fast, always ready for you and... "easy to go": no problem with the reservation or the advanced payment. The only little negative note: a very small bathroom and a very small shower! Excellent site, very near to the Metro for the airport and to the most living part of the city. Beautiful trip!

  • Disliked — Cleanliness, bad bathroom.
