Have just returned from Wonderful Copenhagen having been in the city for the Eurovision Song Contest. The hotel staff could not have been more welcoming and accommodating. They are friendly and professional. We had room 509, a twin room on the top floor. Not big but still very comfortable. The only downside was the room didn't have a safe or fridge.

The hotel is beautifully decorated and presented. Even the lifts have feature walls. The bar is small but cosy. The breakfast is pleasant and as vegetarians we still found plenty to eat.

The location is superb, a short walk to the waters edge.

I can't recommend this hotel highly enough. Best Western at its best. The staff were wonderful.

By the time we'd chosen the City Hotel, I guess we'd discovered that Copenhagen is a city with few bargains and in reality we needed to look for a conveniently placed hotel that we could afford and walk to most of the city's attractions. I think the City Hotel provided few surprises, good or bad, and it did pretty much what we expected of it. The room was medium sized , with a very small bathroom in which they'd managed to cram a tiny shower cubicle, sink and a WC that seemed to be rather smaller than usual. I didn't really appreciate that you could buy small loos! Other than that the room was OK if a bit characterless. I think a summer visit might be different though- our room was hot, even in April we kept both windows open all the time, and I couldn't see any air conditioning.

Breakfast was comprehensive with everything from bacon, scrambled eggs, cold buffet and fruit/yoghourts available alongside a range of baked goods. The hot food wasn't great- you really can't keep scrambled eggs warm and expect them to be good- but the variety was welcome.

Stay again ? Well I'm not totally sure that I'd want to spend another three days in Copenhagen, but if we did than the convenient position, rather than the less than interesting immediate surroundings , would make it worthy of consideration. You can get there easily from the airport on the Metro without worrying about taxis- its about a 7 minute walk from the nearest stop.

We spent five nights here in late April and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is in a great central location and all the major sights are within walking distance. Our room was a good size, quiet and comfortable. There was plenty of choice at breakfast and the quality of the food was very good. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful, they really did make you feel welcome. The only small criticism would be with the size of the shower which was incredibly small! Overall, we were very happy with the hotel and it's location and we'll certainly stay here again if we're back in Copenhagen.

We stayed here in April 2014 for 3 nights. The location, just 5 minutes walk from Nyhaven, is excellent. The staff on Reception and in the bar were friendly and helpful at all times.

We were upgraded on arrival to a larger room without even asking. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The bed was also comfortable and very wide.

Our only negative comment is that the bar is small and uninviting. Also we were disappointed that wine is not served by the glass.

We would, however, recommend this Best Western to anyone visiting Copenhagen.

We stated here in April 2014 for a 5 night city trip. The hotel is pleasant if not inspiring, rooms are comfortable but dull, staff are friendly, breakfast is very good and plentiful. Well located for city centre and nyhavn and in quiet place.

Stayed one night at the hotel while on business in Copenhagen and found it to be a good choice that offered a comfortable rest, good service and a very convenient location.
The hotel is located near Nyhavn and Kongens Nytorv. This puts it within easy walking distance of many key attractions, the main shopping area and the metro station at Kongens Nytorv (which connects directly to the airport). Great location.
The rooms are on the small side, compared to US standards, but reasonably sized by European standards. The bed was large and comfortable, the desk was sufficiently large, and although the bathroom was really small, it worked fine. The hotel also offers better amenities in the bathroom than many hotels in Denmark do. The common areas are somewhat limited in size, but offer a place to meet and sit.
Breakfast is served near the lobby and the selection and service there was quite good. All the usual things were on offer; eggs, bacon, sausages, etc. on the warm end, while plenty of yogurt, cerals, fruits, breads, meats and cheeses rounded up the cold side. Good coffee and juices wrapped it up nicely.
Service was very good throughout and I will not hesitate to stay there again when in Copenhagen.

This is a very intimate and laid back hotel with a very continental feel. There are some very nice design features throughout the hotel and our room was very comfortable with everything provided for a short stay in Copenhagen. The hotel is located very well for all of the main attractions and although no evening meal available there are so many restaurants within walking distance ths is not a problem. We had breakfast included in our rate which was great as the food was plentiful and just what is needed before heading out for a day in the city.
