The title says it all: this hotel is situated less than 5 min away from Kongens Nytorv, from where you can either go down in the city on Stroget st., or explore Norreport and Kastellet (little mermaid).
Nyhavn, which is so beautiful with the colored houses, is also a few minutes away and there is direct metro connection to the airport from Kongens Nytorv.
Breakfast was very good and overall very good value for money. Rooms are scandinavian-stylish and comfy, except for the bathroom which was really small and more outdated than the room itself.

All in all the City Hotel in Copenhagen is just a good, comfy choice. The rooms are nice (however some quite small), breakfast is great, the Wifi free, location is perfect, the design cool and the atmosphere makes you feel "almost" at home. The best thing about the hotel is the service - it is polite, informal and there is always an answer to your request or an attempt to try to solve any problem you might have. And then it is very often possible to get a very good deal with the hotel - especially through hotels. com or other similar websites.

The City Hotel is in a good location & the size of the deluxe room isn't bad However, the shower is about one foot by one foot & would be against code in almost city other then Lagos! I would not stay at this hotell unless you are less then 2 feet tall and weigh under 50 pounds!

I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights at the end of October and was very pleased with my choice.

For me the hotel was in an excellent location close to Nyhavn and within walking distance of a lot of the tourist sights. It is about a 20 minute walk from the main train station and Tivoli and the local streets are very quiet at night.

If arriving by train there is a metro stop only about a 5 minute walk from the hotel which couldn't be more convenient.

The room I stayed in was a reasonable size and was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was fine although the shower design was a little odd - it had a habit of flooding the bathroom if we weren't careful.

A buffet style breakfast was included in the room rate and there was an excellent selection of food. I booked through hotels.com and thought that in an expensive city the rate I paid for this hotel was very reasonable for the standard.

Staff were friendly and the hotel has internet access and a very small bar.

This hotel was perfectly located, very clean and reasonably priced (for Copenhagen.) I stayed in one of the "standard" single rooms, and as expected, it was quite small. However, it had everything I needed...a good sized desk, a reading lamp, wardrobe, comfortable single bed and the tiny bathroom had a powerful shower and all the amenities. There was even a small table and chair to sit in and have a cup of tea. The included breakfast was excellent - lots of food, fresh fruit, eggs, meats, potato and noodle dishes and fresh bread and was served until 10:00am - a very civilized hour! Service was very good - even though I was in a "standard" room I was able to get a pot of coffee or tea for my room and they brought me extra towels and toiletries when I asked. The free WiFi was much appreciated!

Great lobby, the staff seem very nice, there is a small lounge next to reception, free internet (1 computer) and breakfast is included. The breakfast was quite good, good selection of foods. While the room was quite small, I was alone so I did not need much space and it was clean and modern with all the amenities. The price was not bad also, for central Copenhagen.
Location, step out, turn right, then left Nyhavn. Turn left, restaurants, corner stores (2), turn right, Nyhavn, turn left centre town.
I truly enjoyed my stay.

After a couple trips to Copenhagen on business I tried this hotel for a holiday with my wife. We liked it and stayed another night at the end of our trip. It is a very good choice with reasonable rates. Rooms are newly redone, new top of line Scandinavian furniture, large comfortable bed, free wi-fi, flat screen tv, desk, 2 chairs that do not cramp the room. Bathroom is well above average size for Scandinavia. Breakfast is excellent and very diverse. Staff is friendly, service good. No complaints--an that was not true for my other hotels.

Bike rental from desk with bikes outside front door. Very bike friendly city--everyone should try it.

Convenient to sites of Copenhagen and all within walking distance. Near by Metro connects directly to Airport, and one stop N. you can catch one of the frequent trains to the train station.
