“Room size is for Smurfs but location is five star”
Reviewed 7 October 2013

My 6'5' colleague offered the Smurf comment. The rooms are small by even single occupant dormitory standards. Rooms are adequately equipped and furnished with new feel but as previously stated...small. First floor lobby level houses nice bar/lounge and restaurant. Location is extremely convenient to Tivoli, shops, restaurants. This is not a hotel for couples but it works well for a single business traveler or someone on a social visit.

Pros:
- convenient location, close to Tivoli, train station, city
- downstairs community areas with Danish design furniture

Cons:
- Shabby run-down long corridors to reach the room
- tiny room, as one mentioned before, there is 0.5-1.0m space between bed and walls. In reality much smaller than displayed on Tablet hotel pictures
- room needs renovation
- paperthin walls
- narrow double bed with deformed, uncomfortable foam matress
- wine received in wine bar tasted like the bottle had been open for 2 weeks

Conclusion: would have been okay for max. 100 Euro per night, not for 200 Euro excl. Breakfast

Our group of 6 spent 2 nights at the hotel prior to a cruise departing from Copenhagen. It was an easy train ride from the airport to the Central Station and then a several block walk to the hotel. The staff was EXTREMELY accommodating and helpful. We could walk anywhere from the hotel and did so for 2 days (bring good walking shoes though!) They also offered bicycles to rent and included with the rental was a 3 hour bike tour originating at Nyhavn. We took advantage of that and really enjoyed it. The bar area of the hotel was very nice and we enjoyed a drink in the outdoor courtyard/bar. However, our very small room was located also on that courtyard and people could be heard talking late into the night, especially on the weekend. Our friends had their room moved to a larger one where the window was not facing the street or the courtyard and they were much happier with the quiet there. I would highly recommend requesting one of those rooms. All in all, I would definitely stay there again, but request a larger, quieter room.

This hotel is located so well, that it's easy to walk to see all the attractions in Copenhagen. There are also large varieties of restaurants and bars so very close, which makes your vacation almost too easy!

I loved the way the staff handled the missing booking situation that occurred due to another company - that convinced me that this hotel has a tremendous company culture and it really shows!!

The rooms were decorated with excellent taste and finally the breakfast is really out of this world!
I truly recommend this hotel to adults in business and pleasure. We had a great staying!

Room Tip: Standard double was just fine for us, I don't know about you guys.. Had a room on 4th floor wind...

We went back here for a second time following an offer we had received. This time we stayed in a deluxe room, which housed a big bathroom (only a shower), a small balcony, and complimentary snacks and slippers, which I believe are not usually on offer for other room grades. Apart from that, the room was still slightly on the small side generally, and so you shouldn't expect masses of space in this hotel.
This time we made use of the bar for a drink following a dinner we had elsewhere. The bar was pretty cool, and has a range of classic and "molecular" cocktails on offer, expertly mixed by a friendly barman. When he brought my wife's drink to her he explained to us how it is prepared and was very knowledgable. The only thing to say about the bar though, is that it was very quiet. I know that we're out of summer season now, but on a Saturday night, central Copenhagen bar, you would expect more people to be there. It was just us and a couple of other hotel guests
The breakfast is still really great!

- Pretty lacklustre service at the reception - 'designed' in such a way you feel like you are intruding in a backoffice.

- Bar / lobby / restaurant, split up into four areas on either side of the 'reception' in a totally incomprehensible and not very welcoming way, with three different décors.

- ancient, absurd lifts / elevators

- smell of chemicals everywhere

Room Tip: Single rooms are tiny.
