“Perfectly located in town”
Reviewed 29 August 2014

The first Hotel Twentyseven is perfectly located in the heart of the town. It is the ideal adress for those who plan a city trip to Copenhagen. The rest is good average. The style is very clean and pragmatic. If Ikea would offer some hotels this could be one of it: the interior is clean, pragmatic, modern and easily stylish. The rooms are small, quiet and give you the possibilty for a good rest. Window opening possible. Some rooms are located to the backyard. All in all a good and payable option.

Room Tip: Every room located to the backyard

When you enter the hotel it seems very "boutique", funky reception, bar area and dining rooms. So it's very disappointing when you walk to the bedrooms (which is after all the most important thing as you're spending most of your time there), via exceptionally tired corridors with carpets that seem 20 years old. The rooms are basic and in need of refurbishment (ours had marks on the walls, a hole in the bathroom door and a shower that leaked out of the side leaving a big puddle of water under the sink). The bed was too soft as well. I was incredibly disappointed with my stay at this hotel and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Come on management, fix up the rooms and corridors, it's not good enough to have a funky first impression behind which the rest of the hotel lurks in a time warp. If you do decide to stay here anyway, ask for a room on the 1st floor in the "quiet rooms" facing the courtyard (we stayed in 134). It seemed to me that the noise from the hotel bar and surrounding bars could be a problem.

This hotel was in a very central location - Close to city hall and on a charming street. Rooms are very small, but comfortable: they are well designed. Clean. Some of my colleagues were bothered by noise from the bell tower close by - but it is quiet from midnight to 7a.m.

Breakfast was good (but should have been included: in addition coffee from machine cost extra.) Reception is open plan and they were friendly but not very efficient: tried to help several guests at the same time etc.

Friendly enough reception and easy check in. Used the lift by reception which would not meet UK health and safety standards. Public areas quite drab and stairs are in a deep red. This needs an upgrade to meet standards such as the new Wake Up we stayed at before here.
Room 569 was ok but was booked as superior. Only items to give this status are the nibbles and tea making facilities. Room on 5th floor faced the street and was quite noisy with the local church bells adding to the ambience until midnight. Drab room and very dated needing a makeover. TV ok but not HD.
Mid from adjacent rooms can be disturbing.

Be warned that Street facing gets you early dust carts and the church bells from 8 am and every 15 minutes.

The saving grace for this hotel is the breakfast. An amazing choice of hot and cold, continental and cooked should cater for all tastes.

Had a good stay (at start) here at the hotel. It's very central and the rooms are OK, considering price and hotels in same "style/range" in this are. We normally visit Copenhagen 2-3 times a year.

Location : Close to Stroget and Tivoli and this is the best location we have had during our stays in Copenhagen.

Rooms : OK, simple but modern hotel standard. Hotel bathroom could have been cleaner without saying much more. Some small things that could be fixed by the cleaning staff before new guests arrive. During the summer some rooms are a bit noisy if you end up having a room againt the street (especially during summer months when you want to keep windows open).

Well BIG MINUS about this stay was that we were charged almost 2x the amount (per night) after check out (we pre-paid when we booked months before). We realized this while going back home that they had charged us at front desk without saying (and we got no receipt either). Not very fun to have several houndreds of euros tracked from your account when you have pre-paid the hotel already. This was fixed after several days + many calls to the hotel.

This hotel has a perfect location in central Copenhagen a couple of blocks from Ströget and Tivoli. The room was clean and modern - compact living without being crowded - the bathroom was very nice and functional with slate floor and walls. A very nice and fresh breakfast buffet with ecological offers.

The hotel is very central and still in a quiet area. The rooms have are small but stylish and clean.
Bed was very comfortable. The scarmbled egg at breakfast was the best I ever had in a hotel.
Cool bar.
