Horrible expensive hotel that is on the way down

Review of Scandic Webers
1.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 23 Aug 2017via mobile
I have stated in this hotel two times previously. The first was a pleasant experience the room was light and airy, beds were good and is well located.

However the last two times have been poor. Tired rooms, poor quality air conditioning, and front desk staff that don't care.

The last time my room was tiny, dark, there was used toilet paper in the bowl and the a/c didn't work. I complained and the front of desk staff said as the hotel had been booked through an online agent there was nothing that could be done.

£172 for the night- outrageously poor service and quality of accommodation.

Find another hotel - this one is on its last legs.

Dear Andrew,
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and comments of your stay with us. We appreciate all the feedback. Reading your feedback is not what I hope we can offer our guests, when staying with us. We strive towards great service, cozy mentality and rooms that is comfortable to stay in. We will always try to help our guests in any way and we do try to make the stay as comfortable as possible for our guests - no matter where the booking is made. We have different rooms types and different room sizes. We have just finished our renovation on the fifth floor so the floor now looks fresh, modern and inviting. Furthermore, we have also finished the renovation on our facade, so our entire hotel looks renewed. I am happy to hear that you have some good stays with us in the past and I hope that your future stays with us - or other Scandic hotels - will be pleasant.
Thank you once again.
Best regards,
Marlene Frez.

We stayed two nights and got first a noisy room. As the hotel was full we were adviced to ask for another room the next day. We got that but in that second room the bathroom was in bad condition. There were marks of fungus on the silicons and when the floor got wet it started to smell really bad. The room price was high and we definitely didn't get value for the money. The personell was polite and breakfast okay though.

Location is good and the staff was nice but the room was filthy even after being "cleaned". AC only worked for two days. Then we had to open the windows at night. The area has clubs which means there are loud people walking below your window until 5AM. There are plenty of hotels in Copenhagen, avoid this one.

Dear jhk525,
Thank you so much for your feedback. We appreciate that you took out the time to tell others about your stay.
One of our most important missions is to make sure that our guest will get a good night sleep and enjoy the time spent in our rooms. We have rooms facing the road and rooms facing our yard. The rooms facing the street will give a good view of the city of Copenhagen, while our rooms facing the yard will give a quieter atmosphere. It is rare that we have complaints regarding noise from the street and taken our excellent location into consideration, we are happy to offer a comfortable stay for our guests. We are sorry to hear that you were bothered by noise during your stay. Thank you again for sharing your feedback.
Best regards,
Marlene Frez

I stayed here with my 5 year old daughter. The hotel is well located within a 5 minute walk of the central station. The rooms are basic but functional & clean. There was a good range of food on offer at breakfast and plenty of seating space. The location couldn't be much better. Being so close to Central Station & Tivoli means you are within easy access of everything. We stayed in Tivoli until late at night and felt safe walking back to the hotel after dark. The front doors are locked at night & only accessible by guests so this also provides extra comfort. I would certainly stay here again.
