Really enjoyed our stay at the Andersen Boutique Hotel. It's in a great location, close to all the major sites (and train station) in central Copenhagen. Vesterbro is a fun neighborhood, too. Be sure to check out the old meatpacking district nearby for brunch or dinner and a stroll.

Thank you for sharing a fantastic review.

Vesterbro Neighborhood has a lot to offer and we agree the Meatpacking area is a must. You will find restaurants, Galleries and nightclubs. And it is just a short walk from Andersen Boutique Hotel.

We rent bikes a the Front Desk for only DKK 100.- per day. A fun way to see and explore the city

We look forward to welcome you back:)

Happy hour wine is a great way to meet other travellers.
Room is small but nice.
Free WiFi is also great.
Staff are friendly & helpful.
They gave out umbrellas because it was raining - these little things really add to a positive experience.

Our family of three stayed in this hotel for two nights. It is very close to train station and Tivoli Garden but a little further from city center. It has fun / casual design. Our bedroom was relatively big and was very clean. Breakfast was good. The lady at the front desk was very nice and very helpful. The only drawback of this hotel was the loud noise at night. I didn't see a lot of pubs around the hotel but somehow people in the area were very loud.

Thank you for a valuable review.

Andersen Boutique Hotel is located in Vesterbro neighborhood next to the Central Station, the Meatpacking Area and Tivoli Gardens. From the airport the train ride is only 12 minutes. make sure to use the rear exit to the left.

We rent bikes at the Front Desk, at fun way to explore the city. it is free to bring bikes on the S-train.

Your kind comments on the service and our lovely staff is much appreciated. we all know Copenhagen and like to share our favourite places with our guests.

We hope you will be back in the near future.

With one unfortunate exception, this is an excellent small hotel. It is conveniently located close to the central train station and Tivoli Garden. The staff is extremely helpful and courteous, upgrading us to a "junior suite" (which turns out to be a room with space for a sofa). The buffet breakfast was very good. The neighborhood is a bit edgy in a good way, with some cutting edge restaurants in the nearby meatpacking district (it is not at all threatening). Unfortunately, in common with most Copenhagen hotels, the Andersen is not air-conditioned. While A/C is probably needed only rarely in that city, we were there when it was quite warm. This required us to keep the windows open at night and the street noise made it impossible to sleep for two nights running. We reluctantly changed to a different hotel for our return to Copenhagen at the end of our trip.

Room Tip: Get one of the few rooms that face the interior court yard if there's any chance of warm weather...

Thank you for sharing a valuable review.

First of all, we appreciate your positive feedback and we are pleased to hear you liked Andersen Hotel.

We apologize for the challenge with the very warm weather, and regret our room fans were not able to keep the room at a comfortable temperature during the heatwave. As you mention only a few Copnehagen Hotels in the city center offers A/C.

If you are back Copenhagen remember we have CONCEPT24 : Allows you to keep your room for 24 hours at no extra cost (free late check-out).

We hope to welcome you back during a pleasant weather period.

I booked this hotel based on TripAdvisor ratings and its proximity to Copenhagen Central Station. It's a small hotel in and older, converted building. The staff are trully professional and helpful to the extreme. We were on the 5th floor and the noise from the street was a bit of a challege. But we managed to partially block it out. There is one elevator with a maximum capacity of four persons and a one stairway. The free wine hour and breakfast is a nice touch. They also have a patio in the courtyard that seemed rather peaceful. The rooms are small, but charming. I would definitely return!

Room Tip: Try to get a courtyard-facing room.

Thank you for a perfect review.

It is always pleasant to hear when our guests enjoy Andersen Boutique Hotel and like to return.

The complimentary Breakfast Buffet is cold and offer a selection of Danish pastries, cheese and cereal. We have a wide tea selection and serve good coffee. The newest addition is organic carrot and beetroot juice. We are in the process of adding more organic products to the buffet, as many of our guests have asked for this.

Vesterbro has just been nominated number 4 Hipster neighborhood in the world. It has a fun vibe and the Meatpascing area offer restaurants, night life and galleries.

We look forward to welcome you back.

A few minutes stroll from the central station the Andersen is ideally situated as a base for exploring Copenhagen. We were met by Sean ( fantastic, helpful, knowledgeable, nothing too much trouble) who showed us to our lovely if smallish room. The decor throughout the hotel is modern and clean and the room was spotless and stylish. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the bathroom was lovely stocked with Moulton Brown cosmetics ( and a good hairdryer !!) the only downside was we looked onto the 'courtyard' at the back of the hotel but this didn't detract from the room. Sean then gave us an overview of the city which was useful and invited us to the wine hour ( 5-6 pm ) which was great !. The hotel is near the trendy meat packing district which is also the edge of the red light district but we did not feel at any time either threatened or that we were in a dangerous district - quite the opposite and we went to the meat packing district a few times for cocktails and meals. Only a few minutes walk from Tivoli and about 20 mins stroll along the shopping area to Nyhavn there is easy access to all the attractions of Copenhagen. The breakfast is a cold buffet which has got lots of choice and great coffee ! we didnt feel in anyway that we missed out by not having a 'hot' option. The staff were great and all spoke English and were very helpful. We were on the 5th floor but if you braved the stairs there is a little 'treat' waiting on the windowsill of each floor - a fun way to work off some of the breakfast! I would heartily recommend this great little hotel and if we return to Copenhagen we will definitely stay here again.

It is nice to hear you liked Andersen Boutique Hotel and we truly appreciate your recommendation. It is our preferred marketing tool.

We have Molton Brown amenities in all rooms and we believe our guests are satisfied with our choice.

The daily Wine Hour is a relaxing way to mingle and meet guests in our Lobby Lounge.

We spent three nights in July. The weather was hot as I would expect in the summer but not uncomfortably so - especially in the evening, when a light jacket was definitely needed when outdoor. However the hotel does not have AC and our room was unbearably hot. The room had a floor fan but it didn't really help. We had to keep the window open, and therefore we could hear people working downstairs starting at 5 am, even though our room was supposed to be quiet since it was facing the courtyard. One night we could also hear people making loud noise and singing (not sure if from another room or where), and there was smell of cigarette smoke. Apart from the heat, there was no phone in the room to contact the reception so we had to go downstairs if we needed to, and the towels were old and one day one had a sinister yellow stain. Given the cost of this hotel, I find all of this unacceptable. Nominated for World Luxury Hotel Awards? I wonder who did it.

Room Tip: Just avoid in the summer.

Thank you for a helpful and very informative review. Your feedback is appreciated.

We agree that this summer was very warm and a few days even made the required temperature to become a heatwave. July turned out to make heat record in Danish history.

I am sorry that the fan in the room was not suffcient to keep an acceptable room temperature.Furthermore it is unfortunate that the back yard was noisy as well. One night was our fault as we made the mistake of preparing bags of recycled bottles for the pick-up. The local neighbors must have done the singing.

As there are no phones in the rooms, we offer cell phones to all our guests to use during their stay at no expense. I apologize that we did not offer you this alternative. We appreciate when our guests let us know if they are not completely happy and we will do our utmost to improve e.g. by offering a different room.

We have talked to our linen supplier about the towles not always meeting the expected standard. They apologize and have promised to be more selective, as a busy highseason should never influence the quality.

Hopefully you enjoyed the free breakfast buffet, the free Wi-Fi, the daily Wine-Hour, CONCEPT24 or the small treats on the staircase to add some value to your stay.

We hope you will be back in Copenhagen .
