We had a great time at this hotel which just does everything well. We arrived on an early flight expecting just to drop our bags and go. We were welcomed by Brit who was very welcoming, let us straight into our room (at around 10 o'clock), gave us advice on restaurants (I'm vegetarian) and was polite about my lamentable attempt to speak Danish. Our room was a perfectly decent size for a city hotel and appeared (unusually in my experience) to have been designed by someone that has actually stayed in a hotel room before (e.g. enough power sockets, mirrors at sensible heights etc.) The bathroom was good and, as the hotel is only two years old, still feels quite fresh (although our bath was a little on the small side). The breakfast was very nice. I usually find hotel breakfasts a rip off but when a latte and muffin is the best part of £10 in the local coffee shop then it might well be worth paying for (Ours was included in the price so I don't know how much they charge). Finally the location - it's very close to the station which makes getting to and from the airport very easy. Copenhagen isn't a large city so we were able to walk everywhere. There is a strip club on one route into town and a sex shop on another so it does have a slightly edgy feel but we heard no noise at all at night and didn't see any obviously signs of prostitution or drug taking. Overall I would recommend this hotel as a great base to explore this lovely city

Thank you for a superb review.

We appreciate your comments on how you liked Andersen Boutique Hotel.

The breakfast is a cold buffet and it is complimentary for all our guests. We serve Danish pastries, yoghurt, bread and cheese etc. There is a wide tea selection from Østerlandsk Teahouse (the oldest in Denmark). Hopefully the breakfast filled you up and was a pleasant start on the day.

Copenhagen is also very nice around Christmas - maybe you will be back!

Myself and some family Recently had the pleasure of staying here, it was a very nice hotel with extremely pleasant rooms and modern bathroom facilities. The outstanding feature of the hotel is the friendly and helpful manner of all the staff. Whether they be housekeeping, reception or catering; they all contributed to ensuring our stay was a very welcoming and enjoyable one.

Thank you for a wonderful review.

Our main asset is our hardworking, friendly and helpful staff. We all live in Copenhagen and love to share our favorite places and restaurants with our guests. You are always welcome to contact us prior to arrival with any requests or special needs.

The daily wine hour is a pleasant way to meet and mingle with other guests in our Lobby Lounge. You will find design magazines, Wi-Fi and specialty coffee served all day. There are board games to play if one looks for a relaxing moment.

We look forward to welcome you back.

I stayed in this hotel with a work colleague for three nights. The rooms were excellent and the location extremely convenient to central station. The staff were unstintingly friendly and could advise on anything. The happy hour with free drinks was a very welcome surprise.

The only negative was the reality that this is the red light district and there were prostitutes on the corner, sex shops all around and we wandered back from a great feed at a local restaurant past young folks shooting up... Don't take the kids.

Room Tip: ask if you can have a room that doesn't front the street... it gets noisy at night

Thank you for a valuable review.

It is nice to hear your expectations were met and that you found Andersen Boutique Hotel to be a great hotel.

Vesterbro Neighborhood is very popular with students and parents with young children. If you do not mind a few adult shops and prefer to stay in a central very authentic area, the area is very safe and convenient for restaurants, shopping and attractions.

The public swimming pool is located at the end of our street, the nearest playground is three blocks away and the local primary school is two blocks away. This means lots of local children in the area.

We look forward to welcome you back to Copenhagen and Andersen Hotel

Stayed here recently with my 2 kids. Location is good and close to central station. Bad points first..room not that big and no air conditioning. When we stayed it was hot and humid at night. I did ask for a king bed on booking but only got a double (2 singles together). Good points and there are lots.....friendly service, location, fridge in room, great housekeeping who made up the sofa bed, breakfast excellent. Helpful reception who booked lots, advised and a glass of wine between 5-6pm...welcome after a busy day! Walkable to most central things. On check out they held my room for a couple of hours so we could go swimming and have a shower afterwards.....thanks!!!

Room Tip: If you want peace ask for a courtyard facing room, otherwise street rooms can be noisy.

Thank you for sharing a nice review.

It sounds like you enjoyed Copenhagen and the kids had lots of activity.

Andersen Boutique Hotel does not have air condition and the small fan was not able to keep the room comfortable during this summers hear wave. We apologize for this inconvenience and hope you still like to come back.

CONCEPT24 let you keep the room for 24 hours from your arrival. It allows you to check out late. Please request this upon making your direct reservation on our website andersen-hotel.dk

We look forward to see you and the kids.

I wonder why people complained about the location, the pubs and sex shops are not dangerous compared to somewhere I stayed where it is completely quiet at night. It's close to the central station and the hip neighborhood Vesterbro, and it's close to many mini marts.

We exceeded the check out time of 11AM unintentionally and the front desk staff was nice to let us go, and even asked if we needed a taxi. The breakfast was ok, the staff at the breakfast buffet was super lovely though.

I will come back again for the location.

Room Tip: Take the higher floor to avoid noise at night

Thank you for a nice review.

Vesterbro is a fun neighborhood with a bit of everything expected to be found in a cosmopolitan city. There are winebars, Meatpacking Area and the Central Station within a short walk. And as you write, there are many small markets around the hotel. You are welcome to use the room fridge for your own food and drink.

We want to offer the best service in Copenhagen and we appreciate your feedback.

We hope to see you back in the near future.
