We booked a room for two on Easter and knew it would be high-season, but were still shocked to hear the price which was 2-3 times the normal. We were very tired after a long drive, so we booked it anyway. The lobby floor was already polished with red wine and there seemed to be wandering people who didn't have keys to the elevator = probably not guests.
Entering the room was even worse. There was a very bad smell, maybe plumbing issues, which was odd since the bathroom was the only area where one could actually breathe. There was also visible dust and sand on the floor. The only indicator that somebody had been in a room after last guests were clean linen. The only nice thing in a room was a beautiful view over the bay, but the windows were so dirty it was hard to see through.
We asked the reception if it would be possibly to change the room (it wasn't) or if the housekeeping could come and see it while we were off for dinner. Nothing had happened when we came back.
Oh, I almost forgot. When my husband checked in, it took 35 minutes to finish it! I know, because I sat on a sofa in the lobby and looked impatiently at my watch being very hungry. He said there were - and its still one of the busiest weekends in a year - two trainees taking care of the reception. The other one had to ask the other FIVE times, because he didn't know how to use the programme/computer.
I suggest to take you money elsewhere if you're in Copenhagen. Sorry Scandic.

Feels disappointed.
Booked A family room for 1 night stay.
The bathroom is without bathtub, we had to change room, got a twin bed room with bathtub instead.
As a 4 stars hotel, it doesn't have :
-toothbrush and toothpaste included and you have to buy it from their shop, kinda disappointed.
-the bathroom sink ...no place to put your personal stuffs
-water pressure is too weak
-no footstool for kids to stand ( for washing their hands or brush teeth.)
The sink is abit high.

-the room itself has no minibar or electric water cooker for you to make a cup of instant coffee or tea.
-the floor is very dusty

It's out of our expectation for a 4 star hotel.

We spent four days in copenhagen in april and had a lovely time.

The location is perfect with Tivoli, Strøget and lots of restaurants just a short walk away. Lovely lake just outside, you can go for a jog or walk.

The room is spacious and modern. Nice view over the city and Tivoli. One negative thing is the weird bathroom door. Its made of partly transparent glass og has a gap all around. The others in the room can certainly see and hear your business.

Breakfast simple but nice.

I stayed 6 nights in Scandic for an imternational meeting. Everything OK in the room, no carpet though. Towels are a bit small, enough for me... The hotel is very well situated, near to main station, Rathaus, even Nyhaven is in walking distance. The house keeping service is indeed house tidy up service as all they did is tidying up the bed and refreshing the towels. For six nights my room was not vacuumed and become a bit filthy. Breakfast is good, conference rooms and coffee breaks are good. So good for conference, not cosy, efficient hotel which should consider a second look for house keeping services...

I traveled to Copenhagen the week of April 6, 2014 and had my reservation at the Scandic Copenhagen. Reception and greeting during check in was excellent. Room 801 was spotless and had a great view of the lake behind the hotel. Very quiet and able to sleep with no disruptions. Stayed at the Scandic Copenhagen 3 nights during my business trip to Copenhagen. The morning breakfast was outstanding with many selections including scrambled eggs, bacon, beans, many assortments of bread and other meats. Very nice area for the breakfast and many tables for seating.

Short walk to Tivoli Gardens, Stroget walking street and only 20 minute walk to the Nyhavn harbor area. Many other restaurants and eating establishments in the area.

My overall experience at the Scandic Copenhagen was super and would not hesitate to stay there again on future travel to this city.

Stayed here for two nights on business. Arrived very late on the Sunday night and had a super speedy check in. Went up to my room on the 16th floor - fantastic view over the lake - really lovely.

The room was a great size - large bed and interesting artwork!! There's everything in there you would need and made for a comfortable night.

Good breakfast the next day - great eggs!! And plenty of pastries, ham, cheese etc.

Didn't get to see much else but it was a good stay in a good location. Would definitely recommend it.
