Stayed at the hotel for one night on 14 -15 December 2013.
Had booked a superior room, got a small one.
The decor was ok, type standard hotel decor.
The hotel felt a little dated.
Nice bathroom.
The breakfast was okay, but nothing more.
The service was good and the people working at the front desk helpful.
Location pretty good around Tivoli and within walking distance of the Strøget, etc..
Ate at a really good restaurant in the evening: Madklubben Admiral Preview

Room Tip: At least a superior room.

I wanted a hotel handy for central station, and this is just around the corner. The building is not attractive to English tastes scared of the modern. I slept we'll. I did not like being asked if I wanted an upgrade, it makes you think you are getting a rubbish room. My standard room was fine with a dog leg with chairs and the tv. Only downside worn red leather chair looked dirty. breakfast was excellent, fabulous bread and jam. Scrambled eggs just right too.

The Imperial hotel does what it has to, but did not exceed our expectation or even surprise us positively in one way.
The hotel is very conveniently located close to Tivoli, Strøget, center, Vesterbro area, next to the S-train station. All the staff were friendly. The (standard) room was fine, free wifi not the fastest but okay. The room is not satisfactory sound proof. For a 4 star hotel, i expect less street noise in the room, certainly where our room was facing a side street. If you prefer a real soft matress to sleep on, this hotel will do just fine. The hotel and rooms were extremely hot and the cooling definitely did not cool well.

The hotel was not at all dirty, but it had been quite a while ago since the last big dusting everywhere. The breakfast was definitely not more than just okay. All in all, nothing really bad with this hotel, but with so many other options in the great city of Copenhagen, I will certainly try another hotel next time.

Stayed at the Imperial Hotel which is centrally located. Hotel does not seem to be very appealing from the outside, but the lobby was nicer. The room (booked a superior) was adequate. Not a lot of extra space. The bathroom a bit small was well lite.

If I had any complaint it was that the breakfast was not really good. The coffee was extremely weak. Thought for a second that I had picked up the tea by accident.

The staff was friendly and helpful.

The room was a bit expensive based upon the size, amenities, etc.

I got the smallest room. Yes, its really small. We had problems opening up our luggages, 2 of them, and walking in the room when the luggages were opened. Hence, if you choose to stay in Imperial, please upgrade to a larger room if your budget allows. This might be the first hotel that I've been where they place a picture of the upgraded room in the front desk, sort of encouraging people to go for the upgrade at a top-up price. Next, is the bathroom. Yes, its small and on top of that, the bathroom heater takes at least 15 mins to heat up. Perhaps its just our luck that our heater in the bathroom takes a longer time to heat. This hotel is conveniently located next to a train station and within walking distance to Tivoli and Stroget. We even walked to Nyhavn and Christianborg Palace from the hotel.

We stayed at this hotel for three nights, and even though the hotel was fully booked, the staff looked after us extremely well - the receptionist could not have been more charming. Our bedroom was overlooking a side road, and must have been much quieter than the rooms overlooking the road and the Vesterport Railway Station.

Our "Standard" Bedroom was very small, and not much space in the wardrobes to hang clothes, but it was fine. I shall upgrade to a larger Superior room next time! Free Internet access throughout the hotel, and you can print out Boarding Passes in the Business Lounge near Reception.

Ristorante L’Appetito served Italian food and was quite busy, with many diners from outside the hotel as well as hotel guests. Portions of food quite large! Reasonable choice at the buffet breakfast, in the separate breakfast/function room.

The location of the hotel was excellent - from the airport, we took a train to the Central Station, and it was less than a 5-minute walk to the hotel. Leave the Station from the Vesterbrogade exit, go straight ahead (slightly left), cross the main road, go under the arch and straight ahead to the next traffic lights, where the hotel is situated. From the hotel, it's an easy walk to the Tivoli Gardens and the main sites; and there is a taxi rank just outside and to the left.

We shall return when we are next in Copenhagen.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room not overlooking the main streets or the railway station. Consider upgrading to...

Stayed here for three nights sharing a room with a friend. We probably had the smallest double rooms but they worked well and except for too little space for hanging up our clothes (five items in total), that caused no problems. We were fortunate enough to have rooms facing the inner courtyard, and this was probably a good thing. At least we heard several others facing the street complaining about the noise.

No seperate shower, so we had to stand in the tub. The glass wall that was going to prevent spilling of water was far too small and we soaked the bath every time one of us had a shower. hence, there also was a shortage of towels evereyday since we had to use those to dry the door afterwards.

The breakfast was too crowded and all the time things were missing. The hotel was fully booked and they had to use the conferance rooms for eating. It might have been an idea, to put up extra servings of food in there as well?
