“Excellent location.”
Reviewed 11 February 2014 via mobile

We stayed at The Imperial for 2 nights. The hotel is modern and the staff were helpful and friendly. Our room was spacious and very clean, the buffet breakfast was reasonable. One slight grumble would be that we were woken up at 8am as there were workmen drilling and banging as the floor above us was being renovated. We did complain and the manager was very apologetic. Would not put me off staying here again, as the location for Central Copenhagen was fantastic, and reasonably priced too.

I stayed in December last year, very nice hotel, clean room and very helpful people working at the reception.
I upgraded to a larger room, the lady show me the room before I decided, she was so nice and warm to talk to, very honest and my wife was feeling like home. Sophie and the rest of the staff make our staying unforgettable. The dinner reservations she made match completely our expectations. Very nice job they are doing. The mini bar was warm but she move us to another room. The hotel is 5 min from tivoli gardens, they have a light show with music.
Greetings from Italy and we hope to come back very soon.

Room Tip: away from the main street

Last November I made a reservation via booking.com for July 2014 with credit card details to confirm the booking. No deposit or booking fee was required but the hotel debited my credit card account immediately. After several attempts to get a refund from either the hotel and booking.com, Imperial Hotel has processed my refund. The refund went through American Express under the card scheme rules we have to allow the merchant a 15 day period in which to process the credit. Great service Imperial Hotel and Booking.com!

We stayed 2 nights in a standard double room including breakfast for a good price. The hotel room was OK but small. If you travel with big luggage, it is a good idea to upgrade to a larger room. The reception offers upgrade at check-in. The beds were clean and comfortable. The room was a little worn. For example a stained armchair is not inviting. There was no safe in the room. The breakfast was good, hot and cold buffet but nothing extraordinary. Location was the best thing about the hotel. 7 mins walking distance from Central Station. Tivoli Gardens and City Hall are also within walking distance.

Stayed at the hotel for one night on 14 -15 December 2013.
Had booked a superior room, got a small one.
The decor was ok, type standard hotel decor.
The hotel felt a little dated.
Nice bathroom.
The breakfast was okay, but nothing more.
The service was good and the people working at the front desk helpful.
Location pretty good around Tivoli and within walking distance of the Strøget, etc..
Ate at a really good restaurant in the evening: Madklubben Admiral Preview

Room Tip: At least a superior room.

I wanted a hotel handy for central station, and this is just around the corner. The building is not attractive to English tastes scared of the modern. I slept we'll. I did not like being asked if I wanted an upgrade, it makes you think you are getting a rubbish room. My standard room was fine with a dog leg with chairs and the tv. Only downside worn red leather chair looked dirty. breakfast was excellent, fabulous bread and jam. Scrambled eggs just right too.

The Imperial hotel does what it has to, but did not exceed our expectation or even surprise us positively in one way.
The hotel is very conveniently located close to Tivoli, Strøget, center, Vesterbro area, next to the S-train station. All the staff were friendly. The (standard) room was fine, free wifi not the fastest but okay. The room is not satisfactory sound proof. For a 4 star hotel, i expect less street noise in the room, certainly where our room was facing a side street. If you prefer a real soft matress to sleep on, this hotel will do just fine. The hotel and rooms were extremely hot and the cooling definitely did not cool well.

The hotel was not at all dirty, but it had been quite a while ago since the last big dusting everywhere. The breakfast was definitely not more than just okay. All in all, nothing really bad with this hotel, but with so many other options in the great city of Copenhagen, I will certainly try another hotel next time.
