This was a great location for walking to most all sites in Copenhagen. Also close to the metro that brought us to the city from the airport. Staff were helpful and courteous. Room was clean and comfortable. Checkout is at noon, which is nice. Price was reasonable but we were there in February so not a very touristy time. Beware...Copenhagen is very expensive!

Excellent hotel, warm atmosphere, cleanliness and kindness are the peculiarities of this place. It is located in the central zone, easily accessible and very closeo to the old town and the harbor. Good quality restaurant, with helpful and attentive staff.
I recommend this hotel to everyone andI'm sure that you will be happy

Admiral hotel is located in a very nice building, very close to most Copenhagen attractions and to the centre of the city. The view on the canal and the opera is amazing, so try to book a room with such a view.
Service was satisfying, the ground floor area with the lobby, the bar and the restaurant is very nice. However, the hotel looks kind of old and rooms are quite pricey. Deluxe room was not really deluxe, apart from the nice view to the river.

Room Tip: Try to book room with a view to the canal & the opera! Amazing!

Christina Overgard at the front deskl did a great job helping me get a wonderful room, and Rasmus got the ball rolling on my itinerary; for my day trip to Sweden, the staff found their Swedish colleague, who gave very good advice. The only downside is that the walls between rooms could be a bit thicker - otherwise, great hotel.

Room Tip: Get a water view room.

Hotel Admiral is a waterfront hotel and is housed in a heritage 18th-century building, very close to the happening Nyhavn district of Copenhagen. The Hotel has a very good Restaurent called "Salt" with excellent Seafood.

The hotelis close to the twon center and the Metro station is not vey far.

If you are lucky to get a waterfront room then you have a panoramic view of the harbour and room can be very bright.

Wish the rooms were slightly bigger.

We also used their Conference Room facility and these rooms are on the topcfloor and give an excellent view. Facilities are good for a group of 10-12 people.

If you are a health freak, just get out of the hotel and run along the harbour.

Room Tip: Try and ask for a Harour facing room, they give a very nice view with bright sunlight (if you are lu...

TheAdmiral is an interesting hotel with lobely wodden beams throughout but Iwould neverstay here again.

The walls are so thin - one night I heard t he TV in the room to the left of me, the TVis the room to the right of me plus the TV in the room above me.

I also had a street view and the noise from the street and parking lot was unbearable.

Lastly, the service at the bar was horrible. If you didnt sit there waving your hands at the waiter, you would never get a drink.

On the plus side, the breakfast buffet had a wonderful assortment of food but was quite expensive 150DKK.

Excellent location but not worth the price.

We enjoyed staying here. The location was terrific. Our room had a nice view over the canal - which because the weather was well below zero was not as colorful or fun as it probably is during the spring or summer months. The breakfast was included in the room rate and was large and plentiful, including pastries and lovely danish cheeses and meats. The hotel is close to major attractions, and walking from the hotel to the palaces and museums is very easy. Very good location, and very good value. The hotel is an old renovated building with large wooden beams in the rooms. It was very charming. I don't actually recommend the sauna, as there was no shower or plunge pool with the sauna.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the Canal.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Next door to royal residence Amalienborg Palace and just a short walk from Nyhavn, this imposing 200-year-old former granary warehouse is one of the largest hotels in the city, with 366 rooms - but don't let that put you off. It may not be boutique but big can definitely be beautiful. Beyond the two cast iron canons at the entrance is a neon-pink bar (great for a pre-dinner tipple), while guests retire to rooms showing off classic Danish touches such as teak furniture, low ceilings and original wooden beams. Best of all are the panoramas across the water towards the city's shiny Opera House and Christiania: a view fit for royalty. ... more   less
