“Very nice...”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 March 2013

After staying a few nights in a small, un-fancy flat it was a nice change to have a modern hotel to stay in for one night before I headed back to the States. The room was clean and cozy. The Staff was very accommodating. I got to the hotel around 9:30 am, and they had a room ready for me.

The only bad memory I will have is the Taxi Driver outside the hotel refusing to take me to the subway. It was very early morning, it was snowing, the sidewalks were covered in snow and I just didn't want to do the 15 minute walk with my luggage. The Hotel Staff did nothing to change the Taxi Driver's mind.

Beautifully located hotel close to the restaurants (Nyhaven area) and shopping and some famous sights in a bit poshy area. The room was very big and overlooking the water, the design is exceptional and different from most hotels - in a positive way. Bathroom was big and sleep comfort excellent as well.
Staff was extremely friendly, helpful and smily and made us feel welcome right away. We'd definitely recommend this hotel to everyone who wants to stay in a special place in beautiful Copenhagen.

Having visited Copenhagen on various occasions this was the first time I'd stayed in Nyhavn. The Admiral Hotel is to be recommended, for its position, its cleanliness and and its friendly and helpful front desk staff.

The room (a deluxe) was a good size with a small sitting area and the bathroom perfectly adequate. As my trip was to visit friends I wasn't that worried about not having a harbour view. The breakfast buffet was excellent with plenty of choice including, as one would expect, the most yummy Danish pastries!

All told, a very enjoyable stay. I'll be back..............!

Room Tip: Try and book a room with a harbour view especially in summer. The Danish Opera House across the wat...

This hotel is located very close to Strøget and so convenient even in winter for a short walk to the shopping street. Clean rooms and good service. Can have a few more English channels on TV as it was in winter spent most late evenings in the room. Beds could be a bit better and not so lumpy. Funny how I couldn't get allergy free foam / cotton pillows. The restaurant had wonderful food. I would recommend this hotel for it's different design and great location.

Recently stayed (for the second time) at Copenhagen Admiral Hotel and just as good as first time.
The room was nice and large with a small sitting area overlooking the water.
Everywhere was extremely clean and the staff friendly.
The location of the hotel is excellent, just by Nyhaven.
The drinks/food in the restaurant can be a bit pricey but it is in central Copenhagen so to be expected.
All in all, a very good stay.
John

Room Tip: Try to get a room overlooking the water.

This hotel has a fairly good rate, but it is average. The room we stayed was too small with virtually no place to put two suit cases. The bathroom was very small too. Cleaning is certainly not a strong point here; they barely make up the bed. We arrived with 6 pieces of luggage and nobody came to help. Some employees saw me taking the luggage from the taxi (-2 degree Celsius) but no one cared to help. I know service is simpler in Scandinavia, but that was too much for me. The hotel is well located, a couple of blocks from Ny Havn, the street new a canal full of bars and restaurants on both sides.

This hotel is set on the Harbour front in a 18th century warehouse. It's centrally located next to the queens palace in new Harbour. The rooms are clean and functional but lack some style an umph, but the rest of the hotel, the service and location make up for the lacks of the rooms.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Next door to royal residence Amalienborg Palace and just a short walk from Nyhavn, this imposing 200-year-old former granary warehouse is one of the largest hotels in the city, with 366 rooms - but don't let that put you off. It may not be boutique but big can definitely be beautiful. Beyond the two cast iron canons at the entrance is a neon-pink bar (great for a pre-dinner tipple), while guests retire to rooms showing off classic Danish touches such as teak furniture, low ceilings and original wooden beams. Best of all are the panoramas across the water towards the city's shiny Opera House and Christiania: a view fit for royalty. ... more   less
