We stayed here on a FREEZING cold weekend in January. The room was on the water front which was nice but due to the fact that a 30Km wind was blowing straight out of the east it was a little cold.
The staff were ever so helpful and moved us to a room on the sheltered (downwind) side - and from that point on everything was cozy.
Good food, very helpful staff, good location for all of downtown Copenhagen.

We had a family group of 24 that visited Copenhagen in July.
Breakfasts were fantastic,
Beer on the patio was excellent
And dinner was excellent
We really enjoyed the rooms that were built around the heavy beams from the original structure.
Excellent atmosphere.

Room Tip: Perhaps avoid rooms over the entrance as the windows are open in the summer.

The staff was helpful and very kind, the room we were given was spacy and really nice, with the wooden beams left at your sight that give a romantic and warm effect.
The position is very close to Nyhavn and at walking distance from points of interest. It's nice to have a walk along the ancient docks, just outside the hotel, and moreover, when it's late, to relax in the sauna (that is in the upper floor, and can be reserved only for you and your partner, great!!!).

Room Tip: Reserve the sauna for you and your partner... it worths.

The hotel is located very close to the city center and the canals. The hotel is very classy and the rooms are very well furnished. The room service is great and we tried the food from the restaurant and I was amazed by the food there. Maybe it is a bit expensive but my experience is that everything is expensive in Denmark so I didn't mind. The room that we stayed had a great view.

I chose this hotel because of the building's history. I am a solo traveller - on vacation. The hotel is decked out in nautical themed decor. I loved it. The staff were friendly. My room was cosy with a view of the harbour.
There is a sauna room which you can book entirely for yourself (at a small price) which is pretty cool.
The breakfast room is lovely.
The hotel is just a short walk to the little Mermaid and is located across from the Royal residence.
Also the hotel is in the Nyhavn area - which is so close to lots of little pubs and bars -again, all decked out in a nautical theme ;) - and also close to the fantastic department store Magasin - a treat for all ladies who like to shop! Highly recommend.

Room Tip: Ask for a quite room. Can be a little noisy, but is bearable (and I am pretty noise-sensitive).

This hotel is in a great location for a business trip. It is a historical hotel beautifully converted from an old pier side warehouse into a minders facility. Within walking distance there are countless restaurants and bars, shops, and historical points of interest. The hotel has a very nice restaurant inside, worthy of taking your clients to. The lobby bar is a great meeting place, although it fills up quickly. The rooms are nice, but many are quite small and many also have old wooden beams in precarious places between the bed and the bathroom. Internet is free and the staff were very accommodating. This would be a great hotel to bring a family member along; while you do business, your partner would be able to explore without a car.

Really nice. In front of the sea , clean rooms in an unique atmosphere ( the building is an old silos) . In the center of the city, a little bit expensive but like everything here in Copenaghen !! Let's try it

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Next door to royal residence Amalienborg Palace and just a short walk from Nyhavn, this imposing 200-year-old former granary warehouse is one of the largest hotels in the city, with 366 rooms - but don't let that put you off. It may not be boutique but big can definitely be beautiful. Beyond the two cast iron canons at the entrance is a neon-pink bar (great for a pre-dinner tipple), while guests retire to rooms showing off classic Danish touches such as teak furniture, low ceilings and original wooden beams. Best of all are the panoramas across the water towards the city's shiny Opera House and Christiania: a view fit for royalty. ... more   less
