I spendt one night the 25 th to the 26th May 2014. Overall the hotel is prefectly located close to Ny havn and close the little mermaid
Overall It is a good hotel but you can find better value for money in the outskirts. A lot of ineffective staff that neglect customer service... I asked for a king size bed for my girlfriend and I as I had booked a double room but one the booking staff at the reception replied in a sort of ironic way that there were no in the hotel whcih I found "non sense"! I asked another receptionnist irght next to and he made the change without any problem! I find the service is quite poor in the hotel. You will find a lot of staff- most of them students that do not care about the customers and quite arrogant. I prefre to skip the experience in the restaurant Salt...

Recently spent three nights at this hotel and very pleased with location and service. The staff were very helpful and our room was very good size and comfortable. Had views over harbour. This hotel is very well located to all the sights, walking distance to Nyhavn, Royal Palace etc. Breakfast had an excellent range. Would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Rooms on harbour side are very good

Stayed here for 3 nights in November 2013. The location is good with a short walk to Nyhaven and other sightseeing locations. The rooms are small but clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and the breakfast buffet adequate. Overall good value for money.

Very expensive, and no air condition in the room, that is very hot and you can not open window during the night as seeing to a very noisy and traffic road.
Asked to change room but as full booked this what's possible.

Paid for extra bed for child an it am still waiting for it, since two days.
Very nice to see but that's all.

Room Tip: Not street side room at all no air

We stayed here for 3 nights in a standard room. Room contained twin beds, two wardrobes, a desk, a mini bar, a table, two seater sofa and an armchair. Lovely decor with beams and complimentary colours. Bathroom was fine and shower pressure and heat control was great. Room overlooked the car park which was fine by us as we were on the 5th floor. We didn't take breakfast or use the restaurant however we did use the bar for dinner one evening as it was pouring with rain. Meal was tasty and bar itself is comfortable and welcoming. Prices not too bad for Copenhagen! Noise from other rooms was not an issue at all although we could hear roadworks around the corner. We would definitely stay here again as the hotel was welcoming, very convenient, clean and an interesting place to stay.

Room Tip: Not sure what a deluxe room would offer in addition to standard. We were happy with standard.

Comfortable hotel just a hundred yards from Nyhavn and 200 yards from the Royal Palace. No need for a car if you stay here. Very interesting conversion from a granary on the docks. Rooms are o.k., service is good, prices high but then Copenhagen is expensive. Preferred this hotel to 71 Nyhavn where I stayed on a prior visit.

Fantastic location, very good service and fabulous view but 2 disappointments:
1. De Luxe rooms do not have any heating in a bathroom (DK has quite mild climate-14 degrees in May). Take a regular room instead! Not worth money!
2. scrambled eggs at breakfast are not really edible - must be from powder!

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Next door to royal residence Amalienborg Palace and just a short walk from Nyhavn, this imposing 200-year-old former granary warehouse is one of the largest hotels in the city, with 366 rooms - but don't let that put you off. It may not be boutique but big can definitely be beautiful. Beyond the two cast iron canons at the entrance is a neon-pink bar (great for a pre-dinner tipple), while guests retire to rooms showing off classic Danish touches such as teak furniture, low ceilings and original wooden beams. Best of all are the panoramas across the water towards the city's shiny Opera House and Christiania: a view fit for royalty. ... more   less
