Stayed here en-route to Sweden and found it very well located, staff very helpful and the room a good size with interesting decor. Yes the Eco image is over- done and the towels a little harsh etc but overall I would stay here again

Just stayed here for 3 nights, still recovering from dust caused allergic symptoms. Hotel emphasizes sustainability and "ecological " products. We like that ethic, but in practice it meant recycled toilet paper, fast food type napkins, pump shampoos and soaps and bath towels made from recycled cotton that were rougher than dish towels we have at home. We ran out of hot water in the morning shower. There is no room service available, but also no coffee service in the room. I needed to get dressed to go down to the café in lobby to get 2 cups and a pot of coffee to bring back to the room. The bamboo ladder mentioned in another review serves as a towel rack requiring the user to grab and hold the ladder while taking the dishrag towel. This ladder sits right in front of the toilet, so every guest before you has made the same move. How many have washed their hands? Yuk!
Not all was bad, nice staff, decent breakfast and good location. They need to look at the sanitation and do a better job dusting the rooms.

We spent two nights here at the end of June. We liked the stylish decor, friendly staff, and the great courtyard. The staff were particularly helpful with advice and booking of a restaurant. Our room was great, with a comfortable bed, although we didn't like the bath towels. It is quite noisy outside at night, but this is a consequence of the hotels location.

One disappointment was that we were unable to hire bicycles. I was unable to book the evening before, and was told to ask in the morning. When I went to ask at 7:45, I was told that they had all been booked. The staff weren't very helpful in this respect either.

Overall we enjoyed our stay, and would probably stay here again.

If you are an environmentally conscious traveller, this is the hotel for you. The hotel uses organic products only, including drinks in the bar (they have some excellent beer!). Breakfast is not included - it is expensive, and because all produce are organic, the selection of food is very limited (so it would help tremendously if the coffee was hot, and the chef could boil the eggs and cook the scrambled eggs properly). The staff is very friendly and helpful, which weighs up for a lot of things. Wifi is free, and there is a lovely outdoor patio in the backyard - definitely a plus. But the rooms are on the small side, and the furniture is not as comfortable as one could wish for. While the slightly shabby Bali beach-like look is charming at first, it soon wears off and becomes quite annoying. The location of the hotel is excellent, just a couple of minutes away from everything. As a frequent business traveller I would probably choose another hotel next time (this was my second stay at this hotel) for increased comfort.

Room Tip: Only some rooms have a desk, ask for a desk if you need it. Backyard rooms are more quiet.

My wife and I stayed for two nights in early June. Pretty cool train station hotel in a transition neighborhood (mostly already there sans a few sex shops and strip clubs). Maybe tries a little too hard to push a sustainable theme? Probably could get rid of the Anasazi ladder in the bathroom with the two roles of extra 'made from recycled wood products' toilet paper held together with a string of pukka shells. The TP and the 'recycled' towels were rough as heck on sensitive skin, BTW. Too many good-for-the-earth products for sale in the lobby- kind of felt a bit retail. Other than that, awesome hotel.

But, oh ya, Distortion. Not much that the hotel could do about the 200,000 or so partiers at the all night street party on the hotel cross street - bad timing on our part. Ear plugs worked fine. Geez, I'm an old geezer. Twenty years ago I would have been right in the middle of it.
Breakfast was good but over priced. Very easy five minute walk from the train station. Super super easy train system from airport- every ten minutes and simple, cheap. We rented bikes for a day and had a fabulous time! The hotel has some nice three speed bikes for $30/24 hours. Decided to have dinner at Tivoli. Actually pretty fun and had a reasonable meal at Grotens.

We would stay again, but I wish I could sit straight on the toilet - toilet too close to the shower wall. Oh well, the bed was incredibly comfortable.

Room Tip: Spa with jacuzzi and steam was extra and didn't use. Looked great though.
