Lovely room but considering I paid 880 Danish Kroner per night or $180 AUD, I expected free wifi in the room.

I had to pay 50 kroner for 24 hours only to discover later that the lobby wifi worked in my room.

The fan in the bathroom ran 24hours and very noisy.

Buffet breakfast was nice but simple. Staff were wonderful.

No safe in room. Like I said before, nice but overpriced for what I got.

I only didn't give this 1 star because of the location. The bed was clean but the room smelled musty. Everything in the bathroom is old and needs updating. The toilet is stained and the shower is broken.

Comfortable, clean, functional - what more do you need? Excellent location - can't fault it. Good buffet breakfast in the restaurant on the 5th floor - nice way to start the day. Beds comfortable and staff helpful.

Room Tip: Our room faced the courtyard - I guess the rooms facing the road could be a little noisy

A pretty average hotel with the advantage of its quiet location and friendly staff. Set back of the main road so away from traffic noise and just a few minutes walk from the Central Station. No frills room , very standard shower room. Perfect for a one or two night stopover. Breakfast was sufficient but not over the top with good fresh coffee. Nice rooftop breakfast room. Only 3 pillows between 2 single beds which was a little dissapointing if both guests like 2 pillows. I`m sure an extra pillow would have been available had I asked. Close to a sellection of restraunts and not far from Tivoli Gardens theme park.

Ended up staying on the 2nd floor facing the inner courtyard, so there was practically NO view from the room at all. At least it was quiet. The room was clean, including the carpet, a bit small for 2, and the toilet/bathroom rather Spartan. The air conditioning was not really working the way it should have; the air in the room was a tiny bit too humid all the time during the stay (though it was late November) and judging by the smell, it was easy to tell that the air just was not getting fresher as it should have.

The breakfast, included in the room price, was rather modest, matching the hostel standard rather than the hotel standard. The bread was fresh and the sweet Danish pastries were excellent, but there wasn't much to tell home about beyond that.

There's a computer with free internet access in the lobby, but you have to pay for the wifi if you want to use it in your room (!)

On the plus side, the lobby area is really nice, and overall the premises are clean and seem recently renovated. And the location is excellent, within a walking distance from the railway station, Tivoli and all the essential locations in the very center of the city.

Room Tip: Try to get a room facing the inner courtyard, but at a floor as high as possible.

If your hotel needs are not geared toward little niceties, you'll be fine in this hotel. The rooms are spartan in a pared-down Danish modern style, but clean and adequate. The carpets could have been cleaner, but I've encountered stained carpets in hotels everywhere...people are slobs, let's face it. The room was small, but not claustrophobic. Our room overlooked the front courtyard, where people do hang out at times, so there was occasional noise, but not at night.
Our bathroom was huge with a lot of wasted space, since the sink was tiny. The only soap provided was in a dispenser, so not great for face washing. This was also the only soap in the shower, so bring your own shampoo.
The breakfast room was bright and pleasant, and breakfast was decent if you don't expect cooked foods. There were hard boiled eggs along with meats and cheeses, although I would've loved some smoked salmon. Maybe it's too pricey.
Location is good in the middle of the downtown. About a ten minute walk from the train station and Tivoli, and we walked most of the city from there.

Would I stay there again? Probably, based purely on the reasonable price.

Our first trip to Denmark, for my step-son's wedding, and chose The Crown for it's convenient location near the train station, tourist sites and assorted restaurants - Thai, Pakistani, Vietnamese, Italian, Chinese, Danish, all within a short walk. Had read reviews on Tripadvisor and was a little concerned about the reported lack of cleanliness, but found no cleanliness problems - perhaps we have low standards or aren't very observant!? Had four nights in a double room at the front of the hotel, Thursday to Sunday, and found it basic but clean and quiet - the king size bed was extremely comfortable and having separate single duvets was a good idea for night time harmony! The cold breakfast buffet had all the usual things and we were always full until lunch! Will be staying here again when visiting step-son and daughter-in-law.

Copenhagen is expensive but a great place to visit, and we'll be back when it gets a bit warmer! Good hotel, lovely meals available nearby and a brilliant wedding - what more could you ask for?!

Room Tip: Our room at the front of the hotel was very quiet - the rooms around the courtyard may be noisier?
