I recently spent one night pre-cruise at the Savoy. I can only reiterate what everyone has said previously. Excellent location, 10 minute walk from the Central Station, front desk staff very helpful with directions, I had a single room and thought it was a good size, breakfast was excellent especially the breads and perfectly boiled eggs. The hotel was basic but exceptionally clean. I caught the city bus, just down the block from the hotel, out to the cruise ship. The bus ride was approximately a half hour then a 15 minute walk to the pier. I would not suggest it for someone with lots of large luggage.

the front desk staff was great, and i had no issues with the checked luggage room when i needed to use it. any request i had was accomodated. it's about a 10-minute walk from central station and there's lots nearby if you need to grab something. i was admittedly too hungover for breakfast the two days i was there, but i did manage to stumble down, grab danish, bread and coffee for later. when i was awake enough to eat, it was delicious.

the design's lovely, the rooms are on the small side but are very clean and cozy. my room overlooked a courtyard covered with ivy. really enjoyed my stay.

We stayed 3 nights and were very pleased with 1) free wifi 2) delicious breakfasts - especially the delicious Danish and variety of breads 3) quiet rooms facing an inner courtyard so no street noise 4) very helpful staff who suggested a nearby doctor to write a script for a forgotten medication; helped with local transportation 5) great location with ready access to Bus 26 and central station and great shopping down the street at 'Tiger' and 'Fotex'. 6) freshly renovated rooms 7)tables and chairs in the ivy decorated inner courtyard where we enjoyed a couple of takeout meals

We just stayed in the Savoy Hotel for 3 nights and we really liked it. As we were a group of 5 people we had 3 rooms booked. All rooms were great, clean and equipped with everything you need when visiting a city, so a comfortable bed, a table for your things, something to hang your cloth and a bathroom.
The staff is very nice and helpful.
If you want to rent bikes you should do that early in the morning because otherwise the 6 bikes are already rented for the day. And it is not possible to reserve them a night before.
The breakfast buffet is great. Cereals, bread, butter, jam, ham, cheese, eggs, joghurt, coffee, fruits everything a good breakfast needs.
The only negative thing was, that the breakfast room is quite hot because you can't open the renovated old windows and all the people and the things to eat make the room quite warm.
The same thing happens in the rooms. Because they do not have a ventilation system in the bathrooms, the warm wet air comes in your room so that you have to leave your windows open all the time.
But thats the only little negative thing about the hotel.
To get to the hotel is also very easy because it is situated just some 300 to 500 meters away from the central train station. And from there it is not far to the famous Tivoli amusement park and to the long shopping pedestrian zone.
Just try it and I'm sure you will love it and even if you don't like the hotel, the wonderful, charming and relaxing city of Copenhagen will displace all bad feelings.

Dear InWe26,

Thank you for taking time to write a review.

I am glad that you enjoyed the hotel and the city, and I will have a talk with the maintenance department regarding venlitation in the bathrooms. We do have ventilation in the rooms, and I apologize if it has not been working during your stay.

I hope I will be able to welcome you again in near future.

Kind regards,

Christian Oxlund

The Savoy Hotel is about a 10 minute walk from Central Station and Tivoli. The room was incredibly clean and comfortable with a great shower, flatscreen TV with numerous cable channels, an electric kettle and free wifi.

The buffet breakfast was delicious: do not miss the homemade danishes and yogurt with fresh fruit!

And the staff was super friendly and even sold city bus passes right at the front desk (and you could turn in what part of the tickets you didn't use for credit!). We will DEFINITELY stay here again soon!
