“One word-yum!”
Reviewed 28 October 2013

Andersen Bakery was just round the corner from our hotel and is across the road from the Railway Station. We visited twice during our recent stay-once for breakfast and again to sample their gourmet hot dogs. Breakfast was a chicken club sandwich for me and a ham and cheese panini for him. I also could not resist one of their delectable cakes-in this instance, a chocolate pastry swirl. All freshly made and very tasty. A couple of days later, we thought we set ourselves up for a day trip to Malmo by sampling their hotdogs. These were full of flavour and delicious. The service is really friendly and I can see why this place is so well established. Only criticism would be the decor-it's a wee bit mundane. Try it!

Had breakfast here twice & it was excellent. The choice of rolls & pastries amazing. Very convenient location across from Central Station too.

“Bread paradise”
Reviewed 23 October 2013

For a bread fan like me, this place is a paradise. They have an incredible variety of bread. You can find here each and every sort of bread you may have heard of. Yes, it is true that it is not cheap at all, but what is cheap in Copenhagen?

“A must for pastry lovers!”
Reviewed 21 October 2013

We had a late light lunch at Andersen. The soup and salads were delicious, just what we were looking for, accompanied by a variety of wonderful breads. The pastries were in a world of their own - very difficult to make a choice of one - a huge variety of pastries, fruit pies and cheesecakes. Mouthwatering delicious!

“Absolutely highlight of our visit--saved us $$!”
Reviewed 16 October 2013

After leaving Central Station and a bit bleary eyed from overseas travel, hauling our suitcases, this was our first stop-across the street. We were having Copenhagen $ Sticker shock (Coke in Central Station!) sent us into the shop. Scrumptious layered, featherly light bakery goods kept us there. It was our breakfast and along with sliced ham from the nearby grocery on croissants, our dinner as well. The size of the goods were much larger than US goods and filled us right up. The staff were very friendly and very patient. They are more happy with using debit cards (as are most places) than credit cards but are kind to take them. The only downside is if you want to sit at their tables, there is an extra fee. But I do have one question-How do those beautiful slender girls manage to work there and not gain weight? Guess I did it for them!
