We stayed in this well located hotel on the recommendation of someone we do not know well. What a shock to find that for its high price, this hotel offers tiny rooms, really thin towels, and to boot a surly staff. Too bad, as indeed, the location is excellent.

Elementary manners at the Front Office at least during the day time, would be a welcome improvement for this Hotel Maritime.

Room Tip: no idea as the manager does not care where you are and does not wish to make adjustments.

Thank you for your review. You were here during a congress when room rates were relatively high. As you may have noticed during your investigations prior to booking, you could have selected a much cheaper room on the fringes of greater Copenhagen. We are quite sad to read your verdict about our rather experienced staff's attitude, and we politely refer to the hundreds of other guests' remarks about our service level. Once again thanks for taking you time to write your honest opinion. Kind regards Svend Hansen.

Although the room was small, the bathroom size was VERY generous and with a wide window ledge to place the toiletries - shelving often missing in hotels. The breakfasts were also generous - all you can eat buffet with the usual cereals and tinned fruit and yoghurt and scrambled eggs and sausages, toast and croissant. Tea and coffee - this was always available for guests as no tea/coffee available in rooms. Wifi in the room was good. Receptionist pleasant.
Location great - few minutes walk from Ny Havn by the canal with many restaurants and lots of atmosphere on warm summer evenings.
Easy access from the airport. Queue for a ticket, could take a while, the machines dont accept notes, only coins, then take the metro to Kongens Nytorv and about 5 mins walk to hotel.

Room Tip: No advice as hotel is in a very quiet are

Very easy metro ride even for novice and literally a few blocks away from the station. It is central to Nyhavn and Stroget and from there to Tivoli and Central station.

The hotel is a 3 star rating. There were three of us in the room and good enough space. The bathroom is good size but the shower is small and no sliding door cover other than the curtain which is really annoying. They should have at least a divider between the toilet and the shower since water flows in the entire area. I was aware of this based on previous review and fully expected. The towels are so thin and don't forget to bring your own face towel if you like to use one.

We were assigned to room 212, if you get this room ask to be moved. It is next to the elevator and you can hear the disturbing sound all night. We didn't get enough sleep the first night but because I am only staying for 2 nights I did not want the hassle of hauling my luggage again so I did not complain. The second night was worst because a group of party goers were having fun outside until dawn. This is not the fault of the hotel without the party poopers overall the road is pretty much quiet at night.

With the cost of meals in Copenhagen I think they offer generous continental breakfast. They also offer coffee and tea around the clock plus having free internet is a plus.

Small single room. Room 206, faces the back, so it’s quiet.
Good windows with easy-to-operate latch for locked/side opening/top tilt.
No notice of recycling, but does have towels/water conservation notice.
Shower has no lip on the floor, so some of the bathroom gets wet.
TV doesn’t have many channels.
Soft bed. There needs to be a way of switching off the main light switch from the bed, so you don’t have to get up to do it. There’s a hum if you leave it on.
At breakfast a couple of days were two young girls on their own, taking several rolls each and not eating them. Available at the buffet were canned fruit salad, cheese, cold meats, yogurt, cereals, juice, hard-boiled eggs, scrambled eggs and mini-sausages, pastries, bread, rolls.
Free wi-fi in 12-hour portions, but it’s a cumbersome log-in procedure (must register with The Cloud and log in each time).
Nice English-speaking staff. Good breakfast-room staff keep things replenished. I was permitted to check out an hour late, sit in the lobby with my computer for a few hours and help myself to coffee or tea.
Quiet hotel. I recommend it.

I booked a single room based on the review of a fellow trip advisor and it didn't let me down.

The hotel location was excellent, 5 minutes away from the metro line straight to the airport, all of the attractions are within walking distance or close by on public transport including the Nyhavn and the mermaid.

The staff were very warm, friendly and welcoming. The room was very comfortable and one of the largest singles I've ever stayed in and it was ensuite to!! Everything was clean and well maintained. There was tea and coffee available 24 hours a day in the dining room. The breakfast was delicious and plentyful but if anything ran out it was quickly restocked!!

I'd recommend this hotel to others.

The hotel was really easy to get to from the Kongens Nytorv Metro station, about a five minute walk. The staff were always pleasent and helpful and the room was clean and tidy. Its position from all the major attractions was a real bonus. Nyhavn was a short stroll away.

The breakfast consisted of a typical continental style cold meats, cheese and bread along with cereal, scrambled eggs and sausage. And of course, a Danish pastry! Tea and coffee was always on offer which came in useful after a long day walking around the city. It was also complimentary which was great as a coffe in the city could end up being quite expensive.

Overall we were very happy with the standard of hotel we got for the money we paid. The location is perfect and we would certainly use the Maritime again in the future.

We booked this hotel as part of a cheap weekend package and we were really pleased we did.

The hotel is in a fantastic location, it seemed to be only a five minute walk to everything - Nyhavn, Strøget, Metro station and even the bus stop that take you to the Carlsberg Brewery Visitor Center. The hotel itself is simple, but clean and well presented, the room we had was small, but we were only there for one night, so was ideal, but the rooms might be too small if you are staying for a week or longer and have a lot of luggage. The bed was so comfortable, the bathrooms are basic, but everything worked, was clean and the shower was hot and powerful, what more do you need?? There was a really good breakfast included, with a really good selection which was a fantastic bonus, especially for the price we paid.

The guy on reception (sorry didn't get his name) was so friendly and helpful, he offered a really personal service, which you don't even get in some of the top hotels, he was always happy to chat, offer advice and maps and on our second day a few hours after checking out we realised we'd left my girlfriends mobile phone at the hotel, but we called him and he was again really friendly and helpful and had the phone waiting in reception when we returned.

Copenhagen as a city is a great place to visit for a short weekend, I'm not quite sure what you'd do if you were there for a week. Everything is within walking distance and the city is a great place to just stroll around taking n the history and architecture. It is expensive, but on our weekend break we didn't feel like we spent any more than we would if we went some decent bars and restaurants in London.

Overall if you are on a quick weekend break to Copenhagen and only have a couple of days to see everything and experience the city this is the hotel for you, fantastic location within walking distance to the main sites, really helpful staff. Maybe consider looking for something a bit bigger and better if you're visiting for a week or longer, but considering the cost of everything in Copenhagen this place is still worth a look first.
