“Great spot at a great price”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 July 2011

We stayed at the Bethel one night before leaving on a cruise. After a long day and a half of travel we most needed a quiet, clean place to rest then see a few of the sites.

In such an expensive city the Bethel proved to be a great choice. We had a large room for the three of us. The location was great and we were able to walk the city and see all the main sites. Their included breakfast was more than satisfactory. My only complaint was a slight sewer odor in the bathroom. It wasn't that bad and since we only stayed one night. I will also point out the the bath shower was a wet room. Not a big deal but be careful were you put things if you do't want them wet.

I would recomend the Hotel Bethel to any budget conscious traveler and would stay there again should we again visit that part of the world,

Room Tip: Ask for a corner room for a bit of extra room. Worked well with the cot for our 10 year old.

This little hotel is perfectly placed to enjoy the sights of wonderful, wonderful Copenhagen. Arrival is straightforward via metro from the airport. The Little Mermaid is half an hour's walk along the quayside in one direction, and Central Station and the Tivoli Gardens half an hour in the other direction. The hotel itself is located in pretty Nyhavn, with plenty of restaurants on the doorstep. We had a lovely corner room with an excellent view of the canal. The room was airy and comfortable, and the breakfast plentiful. We appreciated the clean linen, hot showers and good coffee. Highly recommended.

We stayed for three nights and we loved this gem of a hotel, location was perfect.
We bought the cOPENhagen card for 3 days at the airport and use the train to central station, took the small bus 11A to the corner of the hotel, the stop before nyhavn and just cross a small street and you are there, same way back.
We had a canal view room, room small but very well arranged and so is the bathroom.
The bed was very good and a very nice breakfast, and the staff was the best.

Room Tip: Ask for a canal view room

We selected the Hotel Bethel based on a recommendation from a fellow traveler; they were right on. Having never been to Copenhagen, we had no idea what to expect. We exited the metro from the airport at "Kongens Nytorv", and entered this fasinating world filled with sailboats and restaurants-the Nyhavn. A few short blocks and a couple of steps later we were no longer strangers, but guests of a great hotel and part of the canal excitement.
It is not a fancy place, but it is friendly. The staff are treated like family and so are the guests, Our spotless room was right on the canal, with plenty of space, a great shower, and a comfortable bed. The view was fantastic, and the noise level was low despite the huge crowds. The individual duvet was perfect for a quick nap by weary travelers. The location is ideal for travel in Copenhagen as stops for both canal tour boats, both hop on/off buses, the metro, and major connecting bus lines are within blocks. There are also the bike racks is you so choose. Many of the guests were staying prior to a Baltic Cruise,( take a taxi to the cruise terminal ),and we all agreed it was a great hotel. The breakfast the next morning was very fulfilling; meats, cheeses, breads, pastries, hard boiled eggs, coffee, tea and much much more served in a bright room. And you get all this for well less than $200 (845DKK). If we return to Copenhagen there would be no reason to stay any place else

Room Tip: Copenhagen is full of fun loving people

We spent 3 nights here before a Baltic cruise on Princess. The hotel is clean, comfortable and convenient to restaurants and entertainment. It is just a block from the Metro which is the easiest way into the area from the airport.
Breakfast is very good and offers a variety of self serve choices.
The staff was very helpful. Our luggage did not arrive with us from Paris. The staff was available when the luggage was delivered to the hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the canal.

We were a group of 8 adults and we stayed here for 2 nights prior to our Baltic cruise. A very charming hotel, pleasant staff and right in the heart of old Copenhagen. We had the corner room with the balcony and it had a great view. Would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to stay in a quaint hotel in a historic city.

Room Tip: Ask for a corner room with balcony!
