Excellent location, small but clean room, friendly staff. This hotel offers only the basic, but does it well. I would stay here again.

Situated in Nyhavn in the romantic south part of Copenhagen by the sea you will find hotel Bethel.Nearby are many good restaurants and pubs. It is really not the best part of town if
you want to visit all the hot spots like Tivoli ,but you can take the bus 11A to go there.
Bethel is a low priced hotel and it provides you with nice clean rooms and a decent breakfast. They also have free coffee or tea in the dining room all day. We will be back!

This hotel is in a great location. It is about two blocks from the Kongens Nytorv metro stop where you can catch the subway directly to the airport and other locations around Copenhagen. It is on a popular canal where one can catch harbor tour boats and where there are a large number of restaurants. The staff was friendly and efficient. The room was clean, simple and small. My room contained a single bed, a small desk and a bathroom with a shower. Basically, it is all one really needs. The large windows were nice to let in the breeze as I was in Copenhagen during a fairly hot spell. It was a bit noisy in the early evening with street musicians and folks out and about. Things did quiet down later in the evening. With the windows closed the noise was greatly muffled. The only thing I would have liked was thicker curtains to cut the light from the streetlights.

The free wireless internet and the free breakfast were a big plus. Breakfast was a assortment of breads with various toppings including sliced meats, cheese, butter, jam, etc.
Cereal, coffee fruit, yoghurt, pastry and hard boiled eggs were also provided. Nothing fancy but one could easily create a good meal. The breakfast room was quite spacious and pleasant.

Overall, this hotel is a good value for Copenhagen.

Hotel is in a great location. We had the corner room with a great view. The staff is friendly and helpful. We did think the room would be a bit larger from pictures and communication with the hotel. 2 adults and 3 kids in one room. One of the kids had a sleeping mat on the floor. It worked out fine. Wifi in room is nice. Clean room. The bathroom is a wet room. The included breakfast was nice to have. Breakfast consists of coffee, juices, cereal, breads, yogurt, meats, and cheeses. Copenhagen is a very expensive city. One nice thing we discovered is that the hotel staff makes a hot dinner M,T,W evenings. Offers the dinner to hotel guests for a very reasonable price. It was so nice to be able to feed our family for less than $200 after a long day of touring! Restaurants around hotel are very pricey and not the best quality. Choose wisely. The area is very touristy. The nightlife can get a little noisy. If you are sensitive to noise, ask for a room off of the street. One night we had a big boat party going on down on the canal. Very loud. However, I got a good laugh out of it as I watched the party revelers dance and jump in the canal naked. Definitely has nothing to do with hotel service. Just the location. If you are in Copenhagen on a Sunday, keep in mind a lot of restaurants and stores will be closed or on a limited menu selection. The ice cream shop across the street has great ice cream. A good place to get a treat and stroll Nyhavn. Copenhagen is beautiful. Enjoy!

I booked a room months in advance, but when I arrived, it was told me that the hotel was overbooked. It is never pleasant to hear, after a long way. They proposed, however, an accommodation in a nearby hotel, officially superior, they would cover the price difference.
Unfortunately, while the breakfast was included at Bethel, I discovered that this was not included in the other hotel.
Returning home, I wrote to Bethel asking a refund, and after some time and a few emails everything was repaid.
All in all, they were fair, maybe they could tell me the issue before my arrival.

Booked the hotel via email based on reviews from Trip Advisor and was not disappointed. The hotel is easy to get to from the airport (jump on the Metro to Kongens Nytorv and it's less than 10 minutes walk). We only stayed for one night and it was simple but very well priced especially considering breakfast was included and especially for Copenhagen.

The double room with ensuite was basic but adequate and included a good sized wall mounted TV. The ensuite was a wet room so quite small but included a good shower, basin and wc.

Breakfast was superb (continental style) with lots of bread, rolls, cheese, ham, cereals, etc in the cafe room. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful.

The possible negatives which did not really affect us are that Nyhavn is a busy spot so if in a room on the front of the hotel you might encounter some noise late at night and that the walls between rooms are quite thin so sound travels through them (especially from other bathrooms). However, we did not find either of these a problem.

If you are after a value for money hotel in an excellent location you will struggle to find anywhere else.

Room Tip: Ask for a courtyard room if you think street noise will upset you

Hotel Bethel's real selling point is it's location right on the inlet in Nyhavn - I was astounded to walk out of the metro, take a turn, and be right in the middle of the gorgeous harbor with the hotel steps in front of me. Nyhavn is a pretty bustling area, so be prepared to see the tourist crowds as you make your way, but it's a short walk from there to great restaurants and more tranquil, non-touristy areas.

The rooms are clean and basic, very typical. Without air con, it can be a bit trying in the summer, since you have to keep windows open for air, and the sun comes up at 4:30 and the harbor gets noisy early. Needless to say, we didn't sleep in.

Breakfast is a basic continental, but no complaints there. The price is very reasonable by CPH standards.
