a highly recommended hotel! the combination of friendly staf (!), nice and clean rooms, free wifi (available everywhere), complimentary coffee and tea all day and a good night rest (quit rooms, good beds) made my stay in Copenhagen a good one. Besides this the hotel is located very central at the Nyhavn.

I stayed here with 3 other people. the hotel made sure we all had single beds. All was very clean. The service was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent.the nyhavn location was convenient to buses (at side of hotel), subway and the canal cruise.the price was reasonable for copenhagen.

We stayed at Hotel Bethel for 3 nights prior to a Baltic Cruise. The hotel is easily reached from the airport via the subway. I had asked for a corner room when I booked and we were extremely pleased. It was bright and airy and was located facing the the canal. The room was clean and the breakfast was a bonus. The front desk were extremely kind and helpful with dinner suggestions.
An added bonus is that coffee and hot water are available all day if you wish to have a tea.
The only disadvantage is that the shower did not drain properly so the bathroom floor was wet for quite a while.
But considering that Copenhagen is a very expensive city, this is a minor irritation.

Room Tip: Ask for a corner room. It may be noisy with evening revellers but the view is stunning.

Stayed at the hotel for 2 nights post cruise and enjoyed it very much. The location is perfect and better yet, the staff were exceptional. So friendly, welcoming and helpful. Love the breakfast in the morning. For Copenhagen, the value is very good! The perfect place to end our cruise.
Would recommend to anyone and would love to go back! We reserved a corner room -- big, bright, comfortable and clean. Thank you Hotel Bethel for a wonderful Copenhagen experience!

Recently stayed 4 nights. Don't expect 5 star luxury but everything works just fine and the staff are the nicest and most helpful we've met in many a long day.
The rooms are on the small side but just big enough. Clean. Basic but filling breakfast.
We had three windows overlooking Nyhavn which was pretty hypnotic. This is a GREAT location. At least one star's worth and another for the staff.
Would absolutely stay there again and recommend most highly.

Room Tip: The rooms overlooking Nyhavn (3 on floor 1 and 3 on 2) are excellent. Interior facing rooms may not...

We stayed for one night in May, pre-cruise. Had found through recommendations on Cruise Critic and from photos looked very acceptable and price was right. We were not disappointed. Checked in by a very friendly young lady and went to our room on third floor in small elevator. Good sized room and bathroom with windows overlooking Nyhavn, very spectacular.
Only problem came in the evening. It was hot and we had to leave windows open. The noise, especially an amplified singer at a club higher up the road continued until 1:00am or later. (When we commented on this to Front Desk they apologized and said next time they would give us a quieter room at the back)
Breakfast was Continental with great choice of breads, pastries, meats, eggs etc.

We would certainly stay again (in a back room).

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back not overlooking Nyhavn if you are visiting at a time when windows need to...

We stayed here for 2 nights in May while waiting for our cruise to begin. The location was PERFECT for exploring Copenhagen.

The hotel is about 2 blocks from the metro stop and has a bus stop that takes you to Tivoli and the main train station conveniently around the corner, and is located along Nyhavn, which is just beautiful. It's also about 1 block from a great place to rent bikes, just ask the front desk for the location. (I highly recommend riding bikes if at all possible while visiting Copenhagen, it may bring your visit a whole new level of enjoyment, we LOVED it and it did for us!)

The room itself was nothing special, other than the view. Our room had a window view of Nyhavn, but as it was warm during our visit we slept with the windows open and the noise from those enjoying themselves along Nyhavn seemed to echo our way. Had it been cooler and our windows shut, they would have reduced the noise significantly to where it likely wouldn't have been an issue. Fortunately, we brought ear plugs and they worked wonderfully for us.

It would be quite easy to put in a show for those on Nyhavn if you choose to shower (or use the potty) with the bathroom window open. Not a big deal for us, we enjoyed people applauding and tossing money into our window : )...... but just be aware and keep the window strategically positioned if you are the shyer type.

We had an early arrival and "Mads" at the front desk was just superb throughout our stay here. All of the front desk people seemed very good, but for us, Mads stood out. Not sure why the Sean Connery accent, but it works for him.....lol. He managed to have our room ready for us before we even had a chance to finish breakfast and consistently gave sage advice.

Speaking of breakfast, it is better than some, with fresh pastries, excellent juice, coffee and bread for toast. It also had cereals, fresh fruit, along with cold cuts and cheese.

The hotel has a itsy bitsy elevator which we took originally with our bags to our room, but after that we simply used the stairs instead of waiting for it. There is also a courtyard where you can park a bike if you choose to have them overnight.

Transportation: From the airport, we took the metro directly to our stop, and from there it isn't too far to the hotel, about 2 blocks. (Walk towards Nyhavn, and then once you see it keep the canal to your left as you walk along the street until you reach the corner. The hotel is on the corner. At the airport, we bought a 2 zone trip 10 strip ticket, and since the ride from the airport to downtown is 3 zones we validated it 3 times total for the two of us. (two people going 3 zones each = 6 zones total, therefore stamp the 2 zone ticket 3 times
to authorize 6 zones of travel. These tickets are great and can be shared) This works out to costing about 1/2 of the normal metro fare if you use these strip tickets....and they are good forever until used? (after validation they are good for 1 hour) And from that point onward, while in Copenhagen, just validate it once for each person who uses the public transportation. If you don't plan on using bikes, I'd suggest getting familiar with the local transportation because it is quite effective and efficient and is much easier on the feet.

We enjoyed our stay here and would stay here again as well as highly recommend it to our good friends.
