You can view an impressive collection of Islamic art - books, calligraphy, utensils, miniatures, ceramics - with detailed comments, watch closely every item. It's all absolutely for free.
For those not acquainted with Islamic art I'd particularly recommend visiting this exhibition.

Clearly there has been a huge investment in developing the Islamic collection area. A huge amount of items covering a huge range of materials. And free entry!

Astonishing collection of Islamic art, free too, in a beautiful building. If this was on show in London there would be huge queues - we had the place almost to ourselves. Don't miss this!

The collection is unique : traditional european furniture, silver, paintings of an outstanding quality. But situated in the former collector's private home! And what a home...actuallu you will meet the antiueqes in a 3 century-old house , which has been renovated without looking at costs BUT only at quality. The foundation in charge of the collection has huge funds and equivalent quality demands. It is the BEST you can meet in the museum: both in terms of art AND architecture. AND then the top floors of the building have been reserved to one of the very best collections in the world of Islamic art. Go there...and afterwards take a walk in the neighbouring park, Kongens Have and perhaps visit the Rosenborg Castle with anothe private collection. This time the Royal family's collection

The museum includes very special Islamic art pieces. It was very tidy, the staff was very helpful, and it is free! If you have interest especially for Islamic art, you must see this museum.
