“How Danish farmers lived”
Reviewed 14 June 2014

This is a really interesting open air museum. It really gives you a good idea of how Danish country people, of different classes lived in the past. It's amazing that someone thought to gather these buildings together back in the early 1900s, way ahead of other countries. It's also free!

“Going back in time”
Reviewed 6 June 2014

Frilandsmuseet takes you back in time. The houses and farms have been taking down from where they were and rebuilt at Frilandsmuseet. Quite impressive. It is spacious and very cosy. It is fun to go into the diffirent kind of homes and imagine you are one of the people living there. You can easily spend several hours just walking around as there are many buildings. This is one of the best museums. The entrance fee is for free as it is a part of the Danish National Museum.

“Lovely in the summer”

A great area with houses and interiour from severel hundreds of years ago. Really nice to show the kids how people actually lived back then and for them to see how simple everything was. It is outside, so best if the weather is nice.

“Denmark - old farm land”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

If you want to see how Denmark as a farming country looked like in the past 400 years, go to this place. The old farmhouses are well kept and shows how the familys lived in old time. Frilandsmuseet is also close to Dyrehaven - a very nice forest with deers etc.
